"Baby? Baby? Are you OK?" AJ asks as I open my eyes slowly.
"Oh God, what happened?" I ask softly as I start to get up.
"Are you hurt, you OK?" AJ asks as he tries to keep me from moving.
"Yeah I'm fine. What about everyone else?" I ask. AJ and I look around and see everyone start to get up.
"Looks like everyone's OK." AJ says as he helps me up off the ground.
All of a sudden I hear Kevin say, "Oh God no." I run over to him to see Shena laying on the ground, uncontious, and her leg is bleeding.
"Oh no!" I yell. Nick runs across the street to call the hospital.
"We need to get her to a doctor!!! Is anyone else hurt?" Howie asks.
"No, we're all fine." Sarah says getting off the ground. By now the shooting had caused a scene to erupt in the street's. People crowded around all of us. I'm at Shena's side trying to keep her calm; even though my hearts racing.
"It's going to be OK girl." I say.
"This hurts so bad." Shena says through her tears.
"I know I know, but don't worry; it'll be over soon." I say. Nick comes running back from a store across the street.
"They're on their way." Nick yells.
"Good, that's good." Kevin says softly. We set there for what seems like hours (but it's actually only minutes). The ambulance pulls up and paramedics jump out of it. They run over to Shena and start getting her ready for the ambulance ride to the hospital.
"Can I come with her?" Kevin asked the EMTs.
"Sure, come on" the elder of the two says. Kevin hops in the ambulance and they speed off with the sirens going. I can still hear the sirens and the gun shots in my ears all the way to the hospital. I keep on having flashbacks of Shena lying there on the ground helpless. I keep remembering the good times we had together. She was always there for me and our friends. She's a great person, I best not loose her.
"Love?" AJ asks me grabbing my arm gently.
"Huh? what?" I say coming back to reality.
"Come on, we're here" AJ says helping me out of the car. We walk in to see Kevin sitting in a chair in the waiting room with his head in his hands.
(Later on)
"Nothing a few stitches can't fix," the doctor says to Kevin.
"So, she's OK?" Kevin replies.
"Yes, She's OK," the doctor answers.
"Oh, thank God," Kevin says as he literally collapses into a chair.
"See," Brian says, munching on a candybar he got from the snack machine, "I told you she'd be all right. But does anyone ever listen to me? Noooo. Everyone had to freak out."
"Well, hello!" I say to Brian. "She was shot!"
"Yeah...I noticed that. It's kinda hard to miss," Brian retorts. I narrow my eyes at him.
"Look, all I'm sayin' is you guys need to have a little faith," Brian says, crumpling up the Snickers wrapper. Just then AJ walks in. He sits down next to me.
"Here," he says, handing me a coke.
"Thanks," I say.
"Welcome." AJ says. I look around the waiting room. Sarah's asleep, her head on Brian's shoulder. Howie is also asleep, Tiffany is reading a magazine, and Nick is playing his gameboy. Kevin was squirming in a chair across from Brian.
I sigh. "Man, this was some night."
"Tell me about it," AJ says.
I lay my head on his shoulder. "These are the most uncomfortable chairs in the world."
AJ laughs a little. "You haven't been to Australia yet."
(At the Hotel)
"Geez, I'm so tired," AJ tells me as he falls onto the bed.
"Yeah, me too. I'll be out in a sec, I'm gonna change," I reply.
"OK." I go into the bathroom and change into boxers and a tank top. I go back out into the bedroom and AJ's already under the bed covers. I crawl under them and snuggle up to him.
"You're not asleep, are you?" I say, poking him in his side.
"Not anymore," he mumbles.
I smile. " 'Night,"
"Night."
(The next morning)
"Where's Brian?" I ask Sarah as she comes out of the elevator.
"He's coming." Sarah says.
"Gosh, girl," Brian says, stepping out of the elevator with his and Sarah's bags. "Have you gone shopping since we got here?"
Sarah smiles. " Aw, come on. They aren't that heavy,"
"You carry them, then," Brian replies.
I laugh. "Come on you guys, let's get going. We gotta get to the airport."
"Yeah, yeah," Brian mutters. "I'm coming."
"Poor little Brian." I say with a smile picking up my bags.
"Don't you even." I hear AJ say. He runs up next to me and takes my bags out of my hands. "You don't need to be doing anything strenuous girlie. It's only been a couple days since you were hurt." AJ says.
"Well, aren't you just a darling." I say kissing him on the cheek.
"See Brian, AJ's so sweet that he wants to carry Suzy's bags for her." Sarah says. I throw her a little smile.
"It's not that I don't want to. It's just that when we started the tour you had two suit cases; now I'm carrying the whole mall." Brian says.
