The taxi pulls up to the hospital and I pay the driver.  I help AJ get out of the taxi, and start walking him inside.  When I walk into the emergency room and a nurse runs over to us.  She takes one look at AJ's ankle and grabs him a wheel chair.  I sit him down in it.

Then she hands me some forms and says, "You need to quickly but carefully fill these out.  He's not in too much danger but we need to get him to the doctor as soon as possible.  You can take him in the waiting area for now."

I wheel AJ into the waiting room and park him next to a chair.  I sit down and start to fill out the forms.  I fill out everything I know on him, then I hand him the forms to fill out the rest.  When he's done I take the forms to the front desk and sit back down.

"How's the ankle feel?"  I ask AJ softly

"Hurts bad."  He says with pain in his voice.

I reach over and hold his hand, in return he squeezes mine.

Just then a nurse walks in the room and says, "Alexander McLean?"

"Right here."  I say pointing to AJ.  The nurse walks over and starts to wheel him off.

"Can I go with him Please?"  I ask

"Sure" the nurse says with a smile.  So I follow them down the hall, onto an elevator, up to the 3rd floor, down another hall, and to a room.  "The doctor will be in soon.  You might want to take off his hat, sunglasses, shoe, and sock.  You can keep the jacket on for a while, it's awfully cool in here."  The nurse says, then she leaves.  I walk over to AJ and help him take off his hat.  Then I take off his shoe and sock.  Then I go for his sunglasses and he backs off.

"I told you I wear these everywhere."  AJ says

"Take them off, AJ, doctors orders."  I say with a smile.  He takes them off and hands them to me.  Then I smile and say, "Plus I like to look at your big brown eyes."

I start walking around the room trying to warm myself up.  I notice that I had forgotten to change my shirt to a long sleeve instead I had grabbed a sleeveless.  And I was wearing shorts and sandles.  I look at AJ and he knows I'm cold.  He starts to take off his jacket and gives it to me.  I shake my head no.

"Look they're going to make me take it off in a sec anyway, so you might as well take it and not freeze."  He says handing me the jacket.  I put on the jacket just as the doctor walks in.

"Lets have a look at that ankle shall we?"  the doctor says leaning down to look at the ankle.  "Yeah, we need to get that X-rayed.  Miss, you might as well go to the waiting room.  We don't allow people back there and this will take a while."  I give a whine and then walk over to AJ.  He hands me all of his stuff and kisses me on the cheek.

"I love you"  I say

"I love you too"  he says as I walk out of the room.  I walk down to the main waiting room, the one that we started out in, and there stood Brian, Kevin, and Sarah.

They all run up to me and say, "Is he OK?"

I tell them everything the doctor told me then I say, "And we're just going to wait here until they give us any news."
So for about two hours we sit in the waiting room.  It was now 2:35 in the morning and we were the only people in the room.  I walk over and turn on the radio, I think to myself maybe some music will life my spirts.  As I walk over to sit next to Kevin, I realize that Brian and Sarah are still not on good terms.  I motion for Sarah to follow me and we walk out of the room.

"Does Brian know that it was all a set up by Heather?"  I ask her

"No, and you know what?  It's hard to believe him even though it was a lye.  I mean, how can I be sure he won't do something like that for real?"  Sarah says

"I think this whole thing has made you a little selfcontious."  I say as we walk back into the room.  I walk into the room and sit next to Kevin.

"Is that AJ's jacket?"  he says

"Yeah, they were going to make him take it off and I was really cold.  So he told me to wear it."  I say.  I start to get really tired, and I fall asleep.

I wake up on Kevin’s shoulder and realize that Sarah and Brian are arguing.  I look at Kevin and say, "You know if I didn't think of you as a brother, AJ'd be pretty mad right now."  Kevin laughed a little.  We both started listening to what Sarah and Brian were saying.

"How do I know that you wouldn't do something like that to me?"  Sarah asks

"You know that I couldn't love anyone but you."  Brian says

Sarah looks down and says, "But you have so many fans, and they would all give up their lives to be with you.  And there are so many pretty girls out there."

Brian puts his hand on her cheek and says, "But none of them are as pretty as you.  Plus I could never fall in love with a stranger, your no stranger to me and my heart."  Sarah stands up and walks to a chair across the room.  "I'll be right back.  I have to use the phone."  Brian says to Kevin and me as he walks out of the room.
 

We're listening to the radio waiting for Brian to come back.  Then he walks in the room.  The song that we were listening to just gets done and the DJ says, "OK this song is very important to someone out there.  This goes out to Sarah from Brian.  He says he loves you and he's waited all his life for someone like you."  Brian walks across the room and pulls Sarah close to him, and they start to dance.  The songs starts...

Brian and Sarah stand there in the middle of the room.  "I love you"  Brian says  "And I promise that I didn't and will never do that to you."

"I know.  And I love you too."  Sarah says.  Then she leans forward and kisses his lips.  Just then the nurse walks in the room and says,

"Miss Patterson, we have a problem."
