I can hear the music from down the hall. Shena is so sweet to play all the music for the wedding. I would have had her for a bridesmaid had she not volunteered to play the music. But since Kevin is giving me away; it turned out all right I guess. I just can't help but be nervous.

"You ready for this?" Sarah asks.

"If I wasn't...I wouldn't be here." I say.

"Yeah I guess so." Sarah says fixing her dress.

"Well, you've never looked more beautiful," Kevin says, "and I'm proud to give you away."

I hear Tiffany whisper to Libby, "I feel bad that her parents couldn't come."

"Yeah I know." Libby says softly.

I just push the thoughts out of my head and keep thinking about how scared I am that I'll fall.

"You're not going to fall girl." Kevin says.

"How'd you know that was what I was thinking about?" I ask.

"I know you too well hun." Kevin says.

(In the front of the church)

AJ and Howie are both waiting in the front of the church. Howie is standing next to him. We had decided that all the brides maids would come in with the guys. But the maid of honor, being Tiffany, would come in alone. Of course she'd walk out with Howie.

AJ can feel his stomach flutter.

"You OK man?" Howie whispers.

"I've never been so nervous in my life. Not even on our first performance." AJ whispers.

"Don't worry. This will all turn out great." Howie whispers while patting AJ on the shoulder.

AJ looks up the isle and sees Libby and Nick about to come out. Brian and Sarah are right behind them. Then Tiffany stands there waiting.

"I think I'm going to pass out." AJ whispers.

"That's why I'm here. You look up 'best man' in the dictionary it says: the person that is supposed to catch the groom if he faints." Howie whispers.

AJ smiles and hides his laughter.

"Thanks man, I feel better now." AJ whispers.

Suddenly AJ hears Shena play the tune to "I Need You Tonight" and he knows that's the song that all the bridesmaid's and groomsmen come in on. Again his stomach starts to flutter.

Nick and Libby are first to walk in.

Even though I can't see Libby's face; I can tell that she's nervous. She's as scared of falling as I am.

When Nick and Libby are about halfway down the isle; Brian and Sarah start walking. Sarah seems to be fine with the whole thing. But earlier Brian kept fidgeting with his tux. I'd say he's a little nervous.

Now it was Tiffany's turn. She had told me that she didn't like the idea of walking down the isle by herself; but since it was for me, she'd do it.

Only one more set to go before me. The flower girl and the ring bearer. I would have loved to let Dominique and Christian to do this job; but they are way too young. So I decided to have Aaron be the ring bearer; and Britney be the flower girl. Aaron and Britney start down the isle slowly. As Britney drops the flowers on the ground I begin to get major butterfly's in my stomach.

I look over and see Dominique and Christian setting with Denise

"It'll be OK." Kevin whispers.

"You do know me too well." I whisper.

Kevin puts the veil over my face and straightens my terrain. I hear the wedding march start and everyone stands up.

"Here we go." Kevin says.

We step into the light where everyone could see us. The room was filled with tons of people; and it was decorated beautifully with Lilies, roses, and white candles. I look up at AJ and can tell (even through my veil), that he's really nervous. But then again, so am I. I look over at Howie and he smiles at me. He seems to always know what to do to make me feel better.

Kevin and I slowly walk down the isle. As the ceremony starts; AJ and I stand there thinking about our past together (just so you know, the things in italics are memories from past chapters)........

(We both think back)

Brian walks up to Sarah, extends his hand, and says, "Hi, I'm Brian. So you two are who we're working with?"

I smile, extend my hand towards him, and say, "Yeah, you have a problem with that?"

AJ walks towards me with a smile as he studies me and says, "I'm not sure about him, but I have NO problem with it. Hi, I'm AJ."

(I think back)

AJ grabs my arm and pulls me closer to him.

He says, "You know, you're OK. I like you." Then he winks and starts walking off.

Sarah looks at me with a big smile on her face and says, "Oh my gosh, I heard what he said. He want's you so bad!"

"No, he doesn't. He's just playing around, he only likes me as a...." I say as Howie cuts me off.

Howie gives me a brotherly look and says, "We all like you and Sarah. But I've been best friends with AJ a long time. I heard what he said too, he seemed pretty serious."

"I am not getting in there." I say

Just then Brian, Nick, and AJ start running for me. With AJ in the lead.

I scream and start running. Just as I think I'm going to make it to the car, AJ grabs me around the waist and picks me up.

I start kicking and screaming. He starts running for the river.

"No!!!! Please AJ NO!" I yell as I laugh.

AJ stop near the deep edge of the river.

"Can you swim?" AJ asks me

"If I say no will you let me down?" I ask

AJ says, "No I'll just do this." And he jumps into the river with me in his arms.

(AJ thinks back)

"It's that assignment for College English. Girl, if I knew a college prep course was going to be so hard I wouldn't have taken it."

As we start working on it together, I seem to be getting closer to her.

"Suzanna"

She turns her head to look at me and I kiss her.

We set there kissing and the director yells, "Cut. That was beautiful."

When everyone turns to tell us 'good job, but they can't. Were still kissing! She had her hands around my neck and I had my hands on her waist.

"Whoa!" yells Whitney "She must really want to do a good job."

(I think back)

"AJ, what I'm trying to say is that, I do love you. And I have ever since the day you defended me against James. I know you love me, that showed it." I say

I look down at the ground and say, "And even though I acted mad at you, inside I loved you for it."

AJ stands there looking at me. I start to feel actually comfortable with it too.

"AJ, I don't mean to hurt you by acting like this. I just sort of do it. I mean, I'd like to have a boyfriend, and be able to tell someone I love them, but I just can't. I'm scared that they'll hurt me.... like James did," I say.

"Suzy," AJ softly says. " I'm not gonna hurt you like James did.....I, I'm not like that. I couldn't do that to you."

"I've been here all this time, I've offered you all the love I can, and you can't see it. What you ask for is standing right in front of you, you just aren't looking close enough." AJ says looking deeply into my eyes.

"It is?" I say. Then I look around AJ as if I were looking.

He laughs, pulls me forward and says, "You know what I'm talking about girl."

I say laughing, "I know."

AJ softly kisses me.

I wrap my arms around his neck and think...'he's right. He's shown me more love in the past few weeks than everyone's shown me in my whole life time. Why didn't I see this before?'

AJ stops kissing me and says, "I love you."

I look up into his brown eyes and say, "I love you too."

"AJ what are you doing?" I ask.

"Suzanna, I've never known a love like yours before. Sure I've loved, or thought I loved before; but never had it felt so right. I know that we are supposed to be together my love, I know that in my heart." AJ says.

I hear Sarah softly say, "Oh my gosh. This is so sweet."

"AJ, what are you saying?" I ask.

"Suzanna, since the day I saw you, I knew you were the one. I knew I would someday, be on my knee in front of you with a ring in my hand, asking you this very question...Will you marry me?" AJ asks as he puts the ring on my left ring finger

(AJ thinks back)

"AJ, I'm pregnant."

"What?!"

"We're going to have a baby."

"I'm...I'm...I'm going to be a da...da...I'm going to have a...I mean, we're going to have a....I'm going to be a da...we're going to have a...baby?"

"Yes, we are. Are you mad?"

"Mad?! Mad?! Why would I be mad?! I'm happy! Oh God am I happy!"

I throw my arms around her and hold her close to me for a long time.

(AJ thinks)

"I HATE YOU; YOU DID THIS TO ME!!!!" she screams.

"Calm down baby, please." I say.

"I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN....AHHHH!!!" she yells.

"Don't worry sir, this is all normal. They have to blame the pain on something." The doctor says.

she yells, "DO YOU WANT ME TO SHOVE THAT STETHOSCOPE UP YOU AS....."

I cover my mouth with his hand.

"I'M A DADDY!!!" AJ yells as he runs in the room.

Everyone nearly falls out of their seats from the scare.

"So she's all right?" Libby and Tiffany ask.

"Yeah, and so are the babies!" AJ say happily.

(I think)

"AJ you're not even listening to me." I say.

"Lilies and roses, white petals on the red carpet, lilies tied with a white bow." AJ says not looking up.

"Well, fine Mr. Smarty; what kind of wedding do you want?" I ask sassily.

"Well,..." AJ starts.

I get up and put Christian in his carrier.

I walk back over, "Well?"

AJ slides over next to me and looks into my eyes.

He takes my hand and says, "Baby, all I want is the wedding that will make you my wife."

"Aw AJ." I say getting teary eyed.

AJ leans over and kisses me.

"I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride." The preacher says.

AJ and I snap out of our daze and realize that we were officially married.

AJ kisses me; but it's not just any kiss, it's the sweetest kiss my lips have ever felt. And its the kiss of a thousand futures. Of days I know we will not just spend together, but of days we will live, love, and share together.

Suddenly there is a bright flash.

Sarah stands there giggling, "It's a Kodak moment!"

Brian looks off dazedly and says, "Hey, are we the Backstreet Boys & Girls now??"

We all laugh.

AJ and I start down the isle; this time as man and wife. Christian and Dominique run up to us (they must have gotten away from Denise). AJ picks up Dominique and I put up Christian. We are a family; a real family.

(The reception)

After AJ and I went through the long process of getting tons of pictures taken; we finally got to sit down and have something to eat.

"If you don't eat something soon; you'll pass out." Tiffany says.

"I know. I skipped breakfast this morning. Didn't know if would do this to me." I say getting me a drink.

AJ leans over to me and whispers, "How's it feel to be Mrs. McLean?"

"Better than anything I've felt in my life." I whisper back.

AJ gives me a kiss and smiles.

Brian stands up and taps his knife to his Champaign glass.

"I'd like to make a toast please." Brian says.

Everyone gives Brian their full attention.

"I'd like to make a toast to the future. May all their days together be wonderful." Brian says.

"Here here." Everyone says as they get ready to take a drink.

"May they raise many more little Backstreet Boys and Girls." Brian says with his glass still raised.

"Here here." Everyone says again. They attempt to take a drink.

"And may Backstreet Boys name never die." Brian says.

"Here here." Everyone says for a third time. The attempt to take a drink.

Brian continues, "And may..."

"Brian?" Kevin says.

"Oh...OK. To the future!" Brian says.

"To the future." Everyone says, finally taking a drink.

"Yes, to the future. To our future." AJ says looking at me.
