chapter 75Zac,

So here's the deal. I'm grounded. Mom says that I can't write or call you for the next month. Doesn't that suck? Ugh, but what sucks even more is the reason why I got grounded.

I broke a teacher's heart because I reminded her that she was 40-something and unmarried. Is it my fault that she's a loon? No. Even the principal thought it was funny. So why did I get grounded? Yuck.

So, how's your grounding sentence going? One more month. Hey! We'll be getting out around the same time. You'll be down to visit about then, right? February's when you come home, right? Don't bother writing back. Mom's holding my letters, too. Arg, this sucks so bad!

Oh, yeah. I've lost 5 pounds. My mom was bouncing around the bathroom all excited last time I weighed myself. I'm not positive that she put me on a diet for my help and self-esteem. I think she's just sick of having a fat daughter. Honestly, I'm ready to start eating real food again. I feel like a rabbit, what with all the lettuce I've been eating.

Take care, Zac. I miss you lots. Beat up your brothers and sisters for me. Tell them they deserve it.

In a rut (as always),
Jocelyn

Zac wrinkled his nose at the letter that had just come in the mail. That just sucks, he thought to himself.
