Jocelyn and Zac were sitting in the floor of the boys' bedroom, playing video games when the doorbell rang. Zac paused it, and ran to answer the door. Jocelyn waited for him to come back, looking at the bumper stickers that they had stuck to the TV.

"Hey, Zac," 2 guys said when Zac peeked through the glass in the window.

"Hi, guys," Zac said. "What are you doing here?" He opened the door and let them in.

"Just stopped by to ask if you want to come to Sheppie's with us," Keith said, referring to the infamous chilli dog place on Hart Street.

"Umm, I've kinda got complany. Can she come with us?" Zac asked.

"She? Whoa, a chick? Definitely!!!" Wayne replied.

Zac ran off to grab Jocelyn. "Save the game," he commanded.

"Why?" she asked.

"'Cos," Zac said. "We're going somewhere."

Sighing, Jocelyn saved the game and got to her feet. She followed Zac back to the front door, where Keith and Wayne waited. Keith saw her and immediately made a face. "Jocelyn Andrews?"

Jocelyn stopped. He said we were going somewhere. Not with them...

"Yeah," Zac said. "You know her?"

"Fat Jocelyn?" Keith asked.

"Barf Face?" Wayne asked. Jocelyn frowned. They were 2 of the most popular names she'd had to endure ever since she'd started going to school.

"She's not fat," Zac said in her defense. "And she's not a barf face, either. Geez, man, be nice."

"We're going to eat with them?" Jocelyn whispered in Zac's ear.

"Yeah," Zac said back. "Don't worry. It won't be too bad."

"Yeah, for you," she shot back. Despite what her gut told her, she trusted Zac and went along. Hopefully, it won't be too bad, Jocelyn thought to herself as she followed the 3 guys out the door.

They sat in the fast food joint, munching away on their chilli dogs. Wayne said, "Hey, Jocelyn, looks like your face." Just then, he opened up his mouth for her to see; and all of its grimy contents.

Jocelyn rolled her eyes. They'd been making fun of her the entire time. Zac gave Wayne a dirty look. "Lay off. That's disgusting."

"Exactly," Keith said, snickering. "Just like Jocelyn."

Jocelyn had had it. She stood up, pushing her chair back away from the table with a loud scrape. Everyone's attention was directed at her. "That's it!" she said calmly. She picked her chili dog up out of the paper plate and chunked it nicely at Keith's chest. It fell in a glump of greasiness to his lap. He was surprised. Jocelyn turned on her heel and stomped out.

"Man, what is your problem?!" Zac shouted, standing up as well. "God, you are so ignorant. She's really cool if you'd look past her appearance. She's a hundred times more attractive than you could ever pray to be." He took his chili dog and threw it at Wayne, and then ran out to find Jocelyn.

The manager came out. Keith and Wayne were standing up to chase the other two down. "STOP!!" she yelled.

Keith and Wayne stopped dead in their tracks. The manager strode over. "First of all, you just got your hotdogs all over the floor. Second of all, someone has got to pay. Don't even think you're leaving yet..."

The two groaned, and plopped back in their seats.
