iRiver
- iMP350 SlimX CD/MP3 player the slimmest
CD/MP3 player so far. No big price tags for it as well.
The
Good
Reasonably priced.
Upgradable firmware. Sleek looking remote control. Good battery performance
with bays for extra standard AA batteries. 20 FM preset stations.
The
Bad
Big size. No recording function.
The
Conclusion
The
slimmest CD/MP3 player currently available. 8 minutes of shockproof protection
make this CD/MP3 player as good as any solid state players. One of the
coolest features will be the backlit LCD display, which is one of the
coolest remote control you can get.
Another features that we like best will be the included radio receiver
that can memorize 20 present radio station. We tested the iMP350 with
other conventional radio receiver and found no significant differences,
which proves that it has a great radio build-in as well. As for battery
life, the 2 Stick type Ni-Mh can give you 10+ hours of music. With the
given external battery pod (for using standard AA batteries), you will
able to get another 10+ hours out of it. So, you basically have 20+ hours
of battery life without needing to buy extra battery pack as like other
MP3 players.
So,
what's the flaw of this almost perfect CD/MP3 player? Well, first of all,
I personally don't like the idea of CD/MP3 player as I always find CD
player too big to be "portable". Other than this, the SlimX
also lack of belt clip on the carrying case and the wordings in the remote
control LCD may be too small for some people. Other than these minor flaw,
this CD/MP3 player is a good buy for all.
