Angel: "This isn't some fairy tale. When I kiss you...you don't wake up from a deep sleep and live happily ever after."
Buffy: "No. When you kiss me, I wanna' die."

Nice looking guy isn't he?

At least he used to be. *sigh* That is a long story which has slowly evolved over the past year and has recently ended the life of Giles' only love Jenny.

Poor Jenny, the Gypsy. First, she gets possessed by some old demon and tries to kill Giles. Then everything is ok and she's enjoying her job as a computer teacher (where does a gypsy pick up computer knowledge anyway?)when her uncle comes back to remind her of her duty. Well anyway, Angel loses his soul and everyone blames her for it. Then when she does all of this research and is about to restore Angel's soul he breaks her neck. See - that is why there are less and less gypsies in the world every day - its a hard, thankless job.

But whatever bad feelings I may harbor towards Angel/Angelus for killing her, I must admit the way he handled the corpse was beautiful. *lol* Don't surf away!!! Let me explain first. 0:-) After killing her at the school, he brought her back to Gile's apartment, lay her on his comfy bed and then went back downstairs. The details were perfect. Angelus lay a bottle of wine with a card reading "Upstairs" on the front table, had candles glowing and even draped roses all the way up the stairs into the bedroom then waited. It was beautiful *sigh* if slightly disturbing.

Well this is what evil ole Angel looks like when he's ready to do vampire stuff (like kill puppies and bite unsuspecting pedestrians). In the old days he used to get his food from the blood clinic. His fridge looked bad when he opened it but in retrospect - it was better than watching some poor girl die in his arms. *oh well - hindsight is always 20-20*.

Not very nice is it? He's been spending a lot of time looking like this since he and Buffy slept together in one of the most ambiguous sex scenes known to man. AND if that isn't a warning against pre-marital sex, I don't know what is. 0:-)

There was this clause to the Angel curse which no one at Sunnydale (but Jenny) knew about. He would be doomed to lose his soul if he ever achieved true happiness again. It later came out that Jenny knew this all along and was even at the school to make sure he was always miserable...but since she didn't tell anyone, things happened and he now tries to kill Buffy on a regular basis.

Another pretty bad scene was when he told Buffy's Mom (who knows NOTHING about her daughter's secret identity) that they'd slept together. Needless to say - she wigged out. But it could have been worse - she could have known the whole truth.

Angel has lost major points with me since he lost his soul. Its funny how even his EYES have changed since his soul went away. Before he used to have such a nice, sweet expression all the time...now he's callous.

Angel and Drusilla have been flirting a lot (to poor handicapped Spike's chagrin), which I think is just lousy. Despite Angel and Drusilla's past (he created her), and Angel's gorgeousness you'd think she'd be loyal. Just last night Spike gave up his chance to kill the Slayer so that Drusilla could be saved. Now that's love - in a kind of twisted and perverted way.

In real life, David is supposed to be really devoted to his new wife. The ring and chain he wears on the show were actually gifts from her. According to his interview in Seventeen magazine (yes I read Seventeen), he had to buy his r/t girlfriend a new outfit everytime he and Buffy had a love scene.
(Pretty good deal eh?)

Post Becoming

David Boreanaz is one of the world's greatest actors!!! And poor Angel is a perfect example of why mortal and immortals should not get together. Just when you get used to this guy being evil and drinking everyone's blood, Willow starts in with her Latin and *poof* he's gone!!! A kiss, a sword, a time portal and its "over." I'm telling you - its enough to make one renounce chicks forever!!!

It was so sad though. Buffy and he were in the middle of some serious fighting when she's about to slice his head off and Willow comes through. Angel's eyes change and his mournful expression returns along with his love for Buffy. He's forgotten everything form the last few months and only remembers that he loves her. Buffy recognised Angel immediately but unfortunately this whole Portal of Hell thing was already open and ready to suck us all in. The only way Buffy could close it was with Angel's blood. She told him to close his eyes but instead of kissing him, ran him through with the sword.

Angel is sucked into the portal in what is probably one of the worst love story endings ever. I mean I thought it was pretty bad when his soul was stolen after they slept together - now they are only together for a few moments before his love has to run him through and save the world. Romeo and Juliet had nothing on this pair. *s*
I'm telling you - if I'd been alone I would have probably cried...but I wasn't so I didn't *grin*

Seriously though - the Becomings seemed so final - as if they weren't just the season finale but also the show's finale - it seemed as if there would be no more BTVS after this...I guess we'll have to wait and see...
