First Line, Last Line

then remind them not to be late 
I'd hate to miss the morning skate
and those debates over breakfast
are fast but always seem to last
well past what I read in the paper
eggs taper those moments i savour
add flavour of strawberry jam
some ham or suassages at hand
sure can create something first rate
so again I state please don't be late
