brake drum's token reminded impedence 
resonating to the sounds of old rock's Creedence
that revival was just what we wanted to hear
now that spring is oh so near
I can see the birds are calling for mates
teenagers hanging around at the gates
schools are starting to threaten a strike
TV is trying to sell black and white
colour has just gotten to be too much 
they want to try and add some touch
though I see a danger 
I'm sure some stranger 
not that lone ranger
will buy it for the kids
