Consolation in confusion 

Feeling the pressures all around this smokey place 
rushing feet and flailing arms trying to win the race
buy then sell to buy again is all they seem to do
invest it here to crash over there its never really new

I thought I had some well earned funds ready to be invested
my broker smiled and shook my hand the before he was arrested
Now I wonder why with a tear in my eye I just can't find the way
around the cries and wanton sighs of this sorry game they play

I know its scattered around somewhere here and there
do you really care when its my assets and it doesn't seem fair
though through consolidation with an infusion of new funds
I'm for avoiding future confusion before its begun

Now I could have bought a new boat trailer and car
Or gone out west to rest with friends under the stars
It wouldn't resolve the problem of this quagmar
like consolitation can cover old financial scars

Now what to choose so I won't lose again
where to go to avoid this sorry state of confusion
its not an illusion when I have seen the lights 
and heard the sirens crying out for new blood

I want to put it all into one 
so maybe I'll buy a mutual fund
