Concrete revival, and storefront doors Posted: 3/9/2006 12:01:32 PM I still remember the old days of wood and straw and clay when timbers from dark forest were dragged to town each day the Belgiums and Clydesdales were clogging the streets nobody ever expected white bright 300 count sheets If you had glass in a window for the front of your store you were a wealthy merchant and had to charge more Common rabble wouldn't even think to enter your door tracking all of the crud across polished hardwood floor This was a time on honour and chivilrous pride not like now as we take the concrete slide remaking doorways to look Roman and hide how easy it is to change what you decide We scrapped warm boardwalks for solid cement put up concrete walls to protect and prevent the cost factor lets landlords jack up the rent They now have bunkers for all new wave gents. Is this a revival or catastrophy of sorts concrete stadium seats won't burn with hot sports the shapes of things can curve with contorts everyone now goes to malls wearing their shorts Guess it really doesn't matter about those days of old some concrete revilalist storefront doors are bold When I sit infront of my airtight I'm not feeling cold I don't know if I bought all the things I was sold
