A little too late 

We had a night to remember
a georgeous evening in September
everything we did felt just right
even though it was our first time that night
the grass was warm as it caressed my skin
even the stains felt good on my shins
her dress made a pillow for her head
we made enchanted love in natures bed
I can't remember the exact words we said
something about matching tatoos in red
now I'm at home in the morning light
constantly thinking about that night
we talk at school every day
realizing we are going to pay
for the exstatic spontanious play
and the promises I know we did say
yes that was the best ever first date
except now your a little too late
and at the time you were jail bait
so what can I say except .... great.
