Chapter 14
“Hay Tay!” Zac called.“What?” he said coming into the living room. **This is still at the hotel.**“What are you doing right now?” Zac asked sitting in the middle of the floor.“Talking to you,” he answered.“No I mean are you busy?”“No,”“Ok good,”“Why?”“Cause I want you to go blading with me,” “Why not Ike,” Taylor said sitting in an arm chair.“Cause he won’t,” Zac said standing up.“Fine, I have nothing else to do,” he said walking over and picking his blades up off the floor and slipped them on. Zac had his on in no time and they were out the door. They bladed down to the lobby and out onto the street. “Hay Tay what’s wrong?” Zac asked him.“Nothing,”“Yes there is, I know that look,” Zac said blading beside him. “What do you care,” Tay said angrily.“Because you’re my brother, and I’m worried about you,” Taylor sighed.“Come on,” he said almost begging. “It’s Ike,” he said angrily.“What about him?”“I saw him with Liz today at the beach,” he started.“So,” “He was being more then friendly,” he finished.“Oh shit Tay, I’m sorry, are you sure it was Ike?” he asked.“Yah,” Tay said sadly. “Geez Tay I’m sorry,” “I just can’t believe my own brother would go behind my back like that,” “What about Liz?” Zac asked.“I’m gonna do everything to keep her,” he told him.“Are you sure you want to go through all this, I mean you’ve only known her for like 4 days,” Zac said. “No she’s the one, and I’m not going to let her go that easily,” he said determined.“Ok, I understand,” Zac said.They bladed for a few minutes in silence.“Zac,” Taylor said braking the silence. “Yah,” “Will you talk to her for me?” he asked. “Me? Why?” he said surprised. “Because I need to know if she really likes me or not,” Tay told him. “So will you?” he asked again. “Ok,” Zac answered. He didn’t know what to do or say but he’d think of something. ************************************ “Are you sure you don’t want to go?” Nikki asked. They where getting ready to go exploring in down town LA. “No, I’m kinda tired,” Liz answered. “Ok, well see ya later,” Lily called as they walked out the door. After they left Liz decided to get some writing done so she pulled out her notebook. She had been working on a story assignment for school and she was almost done. KNOCK! KNOCK! Liz set her notebook on the floor and stood up to open the door. “Hay Zac,” she said opening the door. “Hay Liz,” “What’s up?” she asked as he walked in and sat on the couch. “Well I need to ask you something,” he said. “Shoot,” she said sitting beside him. “Well it’s about Tay,” “What about him?” “Well..do you like him?” She wasn’t sure what to say she liked him but... “Um well yah,” she answered. “What about Ike?” “Why are you asking me this?” she said standing up. “Well, because Tay saw you and Ike and he got jealous and he really likes you and he wanted me to see if you liked him or Ike,” he said quickly. This time she really didn’t know what to say. “So,” “So..what?” she asked. “So do you like Isaac or Taylor?” “I don’t know!” she exclaimed sitting back on the couch. “I know this is kinda overwhelming but they won’t leave me alone until I give them an answer,” he said. “I really don’t know, I mean I’ve only known you guys for what 4 days, and I really don’t know them that well, So I can’t say who I like cause I really don’t know them,” she said leaning her head back against the back of the couch. “Well you’re right, but I don’t think they’ll lison tome when I tell them that,” he said. “Yah well I don’t know what to tell you,” she said standing up again. “Wait a minute I’ve got an idea,” he said jumping up. “What?” she asked not sure if she really wanted to know. “How bout you go on a date with both of them, separately of corse and then you can see which one you like best,” “I don’t know,” she said doubtfully. “I mean what if I find that I don’t like ether of them,” she added. “Well then you can tell them that but atleast try,” he said almost begging. “Ok fine, but if this turns into a major problem I’m gonna blame you for it,” she told him. “Ok fine I get the message,” he said laughing. She walked over to the mini fridge and opened it to find it was empty. “Oh man we godda restock,” she said closing the fridge. “You need some help?” he asked her. “Yah do you know where the closest supermarket is?” she asked. “Yep, I’ll take ya,” he said walking towards the door. “K,” she said grabbing her wallet and key card. She scribbled a note to Nikki and Lily telling them where she was. “K let’s go,” she said walking out the door and closing it behind her. “Ok there’s a Kroger just down the street,” he said as they got into the elevator. “Ok that sounds fine,” she said pushing the lobby button. After they got off the elevator and walked out of the lobby and onto the street. They walked down the street towards Kroger. “Ok what exactly do you need?” Zac asked as they walked into the store. “Um candy lots of candy,” she said walking towards the candy isle. Zac grabbed a cart and they started filling it with candy like Sweet Tarts, Mini Twix, Milky Way’s, Blow Pop’s, and Jelly Beans etc. etc. They also stocked up on Oreo’s, and Chocolate Chip Cookies. “Ok I think we have enough junk food, we need some drinks,” Zac said as they made there way towards the sodas. (Zac had a cart also) They got a few 2 liter bottles of Sprite and Dr.Pepper. After they paid for there stuff they had to find a way to carry it all home. “How bout we ask if we can borrow a cart and we can bring it back,” Liz said. So they asked and it took a little convincing but they finally agreed. They started down the road and when they were out of eyesight Zac yelled, “I’ll race ya!” and he started to run as fast as he could. She started after him. They were side by side and Liz was a little ahead when they got to the hotel. “I won!” Liz exclaimed. “No fare!” Zac exclaimed as they walked into the lobby. “Yes it was you even started before me,” she said as they pushed the carts into the elevator. “Oh yah nevermind,” he said pushing the 3 botten on the elevator. Elizabeth laughed. “Hay are you laughing at me? Huh? Are you laughing at me?” he said as they walked out of the elevator towards her room, which made her laugh even more. Liz pushed the card into the slot and opened the door. She pushed her cart into the room. “I’m gonna go put this in my room I’ll be right back,” he said. She closed the door and started unloading the bags onto the floor. She heard a knock on the door that connected her room to theirs. She opened it to have Zac standing there with a silly grin on his face. He helped her unload and put away all her stuff, and then she went into his room and helped him. After that was finished they sat on the couch in her room and talked for a little bit. “I’d better go find out where Ike and Tay are and hope they haven’t beaten eachother up,” Zac said standing up. “Ok, well see ya later,” Liz said as he walked out the door. She had made a new friend and he had to. Chapter 15 “Hay where were you all day?” Zac asked as Taylor walked in the door. It was the next day and the girls were at a meeting with Atlantis. “Somewhere, what about you?” he asked sitting on the floor beside Zac. “I’ve been hanging with Liz, Nikki, and Lily,” he told him. “What did you guys do?” He asked. “We went to get some ice cream before they left to go to that meeting with Atlantis,” he told him. “Oh cool,” Tay said turning on the TV. “Where is somewhere?” Zac asked opening a can of Dr.Pepper. “Um you never told me what Liz said yesterday,” Taylor said changing the subject. “Uh well...” he had put it off last night and wasn’t sure how to explain it to them. “I want to tell you guys both together,” he said hoping that would give him a little more time. “Tell us what?” Isaac asked walking in. “Oh man!” Zac said under his breath. “He was just going to tell us what Liz had said about us, when he talked to her yesterday,” Taylor told him. He was still angry at him but not as much as yesterday. “Ok so talk,” Isaac told him sitting down on the couch. “Well...she said that she would um go out with both of you and um decide then,” he said. They didn’t say anything. Taylor had a look in his eyes that Zac knew very well. He had something planed. And Isaac had the same look on his face. SLAM! The door next-door had just been shut, hard. “I don’t think that meeting went that well,” Zac said frowning. ******************************************** “I CAN’T BELIEVE THEY HAD TO GO OFF AND SAY THAT!!” Nikki exclaimed slamming the door behind her. “Yah I know this bites!” Liz exclaimed sitting on the couch. “Why don’t we just give up and go home,” Lily said collapsing in an arm chair. “NO! We haven’t come all this way just to give up and go home just because we got rejected by two snotty recording companies, We still have Virgin and Mercury,” Liz said standing up. “Yah you’re right, as always,” Nikki said sitting on the floor and turning on the TV. Liz walked into the bedroom and out onto the balcony. It was about 6:00 so it was starting to get dark. She leaned on the railing looking out at the highway. She watched the cars go by for a few minutes. Then she felt a hand on her shoulder. She looked over to see Taylor smiling at her. She wasn’t sure what to do or say. Zac had told her that Tay had seen her and Isaac the day before and now she wasn’t sure what to do. “Are you ok?” he asked taking his hand off her shoulder. “No not really,” she told him. “What’s wrong?” he asked moving beside her and leaning agents the rail. “We got dumped by yet another recording company,” she told him. “Do you know why?” he asked. “Yah, they said they weren’t looking for another Hanson, girl group,” she said angrily. “I’m sorry, they’re all probably jerks anyways,” he said trying to comfort her. “Yah well I’m not sure how much more I can take of this,” she said tears swelling in her eyes. “Hay you still have Virgin, and Mercury,” he said putting his arms around her. She didn’t mind, she needed to be held for awhile. She looked up into his eyes. She saw love. But she wasn’t sure if she loved him back. She had only known him for 5 days but it felt much longer. “Thanks,” she said smiling as best she could. “No problem,” he said smiling back. He still had his arms around her, and she was resting her head on his shoulder. He decided to go a little farther so he lifted her chin to where she was looking straight into his eyes. He leaned over and kissed her passionately. She kissed him back. They stood there in each others arms for awhile. “It’s dark, and everyone’s probably wondering where we are,” Liz said letting him stroke her hair. “Yah,” he said smiling. He let go and they walked back into the room. “Hay there you guys are,” Zac said standing up from their Play Station. “Where were you?” Nikki asked looking at Liz. “We were talking on the balcony,” Taylor answered. Isaac looked a Taylor skeptically but didn’t say anything. “well we were just getting ready to get something to eat wanna come?” Lily asked from the floor. “Thanks, but I’m really tired so I think I’ll just order room service and go to bed early,” Liz told them. “Yah me to,” Taylor said.V Isaac gave him a killer look. “Ok, well we’d better get going,” Zac said helping Lily off the floor.V “Ok, we’ll be back around 8 or 9,” Nikki told Liz.(it was 7:00)V “Ok bye, have fun<” she said as they walked out of the room and made their way to the lobby. Liz called Pizza Hut and ordered a small pizza. Liz turned on the TV and made herself comfortable on the couch. JJJ Taylor walked into his room and turned on the radio. “13” by Unlimited was playing. He walked over and picked up the phone and called room service. ************************************ Liz stared at the ceiling. She was laying on the couch not sure what to think. “I do like Tay,” she thought to herself. “But I also like Ike,” “Or maybe I don’t like eather of them,” she said out loud. Getting frustrated se decided to go for a walk around the hotel. She closed the door behind her and started down the hallway towards the vending machines. She rounded the corner and saw Jessica standing in front of a Coke machine. “Hay Jess,” she said walking behind her. “Hi Liz,” she said turning around. “What ya doing?” Liz asked her. “I’m trying to get something to drink but the stupid machine won’t take my dollar,” she said holding up her wrinkled dollar. “Here let me try,” Liz said flattening the dollar as best she could. She put it in the machine and it spit it out at her. “See,” Jessica said giggling. “Yah, here let’s try this one,” she said pilling a dollar out of her back pocket. After several attempts they finally got it to take the dollar. “Thanks,” Jessica said as she reached into the slot to get her Sprite. “No prob,” Liz said as Jess headed back to her room. “Hay Jess,” Liz called after her. “Yah,” she said turning around. “Do you know when your brothers concert’s saposed to start tomorrow?” “Yah, the first one starts at 2:00, we have to be there at 1:00, the second one starts at 5:00 but we have to be there at 4:00, and the third one starts at 7:00 but we have to be there at 6:00,” she answered. “And are they at different places each time?” Liz asked. “Yah, the first one is in a park that is really close to here, the second is at the Los Angeles concert hall **I’ve never been to LA so I have no idea what kind of concert halls they have there.** which is on the other side of town, and the third is at the Hard Rock Cafe in the middle of town,” Jess finished. Liz didn’t expect to get that detailed of an answer from her. “Thanks,” Liz said as she walked back to her room. “You’re welcome,” Jessica called after her. Liz sat on the couch just as the phone rang. “Hello?” she said after she picked up the phone. “Hello is this Elizabeth Johnson?” a lady asked. “Yes,” she answered. “Well I’m calling to remind you about your appointment with Virgin Records tomorrow at 3:00pm,” the lady continued. “Ok thanks,” Liz answered. “All right goodbye,” the lady said before hanging up. “Ok it’s at 3:00,” Liz said to herself. “What’s at three?” someone asked from behind her. **Who do you think it is.** She turned around to see Nikki and Lily walking in the doorway with Zac and Isaac following. **I had you going there for a minute didn’t I!?!** “Oh hay, our meeting with Virgin,” Liz answered. “Oh ok cool,” Lily said sitting on the couch beside her. “Hay are you guys gonna be able to come to any of our concerts tomorrow?” Zac asked. “Well maybe the one at the Hard Rock at 7:00,” Liz answered. “Ok that’d be cool,” Isaac said smiling. “Yah well we’d better get going we have to get up early to practice tomorrow,” Zac said heading for the door. “Ok see ya tomorrow,” Liz called as he and Isaac left. “I thought you were going to bed early,” Nikki smirked. “Well I was but I had one interruption after another,” she answered. “Oh ya like who?” Lily said sitting on the floor. “Well like the secretary for Virgin reminding us about the meeting we have tomorrow,” she answered. “Ok and would a cretin Taylor Hanson have dropped by tonight,” Lily said smiling. “No,” she answered. “Uh huh,” Nikki said doubtfully. “I’m serious, I haven’t seen him all night,” Liz said standing up. “Ok I believe you,” Nikki said. “Good, now I’m going to bed,” Liz said walking into the bedroom. “Ok so am I,” Nikki said. “Me to,” Lily said following Nikki and Liz.
