Our Lady Peace's Home Sweet Home

It was a hot and stifling sold out Montreal Spectrum that welcomed back Our Lady Peace the other night.
The band was back home in Canada after spending many a moon south of the border, where they opened
up for the likes of Page/Plant and Van Halen.

Preceded on stage by Blinker The Star (now apparently under the auspices of Sony Music) and 13
Engines, Our Lady Peace delighted their Montreal fans. Indeed, OLP is extremely solid musically. Their
repertoire is jam-packed with explosive hits, like: "Julia, Starseed, Dirty Walls, The Birdman,
Supersatellite and Denied". From the start, when bassist Chris Eacrett played the first few notes to
"Naveed", people crammed in front of the stage where they bopped all evening; even though the level of
humidity was so high that fish could've swum among them.

One can only agree with OLP's success. How can anyone resist Raida Maida's charismatic voice and on
stage presence! Anyway, after a well deserved resting period, OLP will be back in studio to work on their
second album.
