The world is a dark place;
Full of things I don't want to see;
I don't want to see the homeless,
I don't want to see the sick,
I don't want to see the greedy,
I don't want to see the powerful;
They say we've changed through out the years;
They say we're not the same as they were back in the Medieval times;
I can see it;
I'm not blind;
We are the same;
The powerful;
The rich people;
The "upper class"
Are the only ones who matter;
You and I;
The hard working people;
The "middle class";
Come in second;
That poor old man;
The one wearing a winter coat in the summer so he'll have it for the cold winter;
The "lower class";
The high and mighty pretend to care about them, but don't;
People kill;
People die;
People suffer;
People cry;
People go days without food;
People go days without water;
People get robbed;
People get raped;
A baby cries;
And no one cares;
The beautiful have the world wrapped around their fingers;
Women get harassed;
You have to be one size;
If you're not that size you're a reject;
What kind of world is this?
Not the type of world I want to be in;
That is why I leave this paper;
With my name signed at the bottom;
For all to see why I think the world;
Is violent and corrupt;
A world I no longer wish to be in;
But what can I do to get out?
Killing myself would be selfish of me;
But the rest of the world is selfish;
Don't I get a turn?
There's nothing I can do to change the world;
So I have a choice;
Live with it, or take my own life;
Which to pick?
I don't know;
I guess when you find this; You'll know the answer to the question
