Had a very troubled past
At one time he managed Boston
And they always came in last
Now he is on the Yankees
Most think he is Joe's right arm
When they sit in the dugout
They seem to have a certain charm.
Since he has two rings on his hand
Torre asks his pal
"Donnie with your gut so round
Aren't you glad to came to town?"
Now all of New York loves him

My Favorite Things (not exactly a Christmas Carol but so what?)

Watching the Yankees win all those rings,
These are few of my favorite things.
Chorus:When a pick a fight with an opponent,
when we lose consecutive games,
I simply remember my favorite things and then I don't feel So bad.

The 1998 Yankees
were some very awesome souls
they won a lot
gave it all they got
and won 125 all told
it must have been some magic in that pocketbook george found
for every day when they went to play
they pounded the other teams to the ground
we could tell that they were special
when on the 18th of may
boomer pitched a perfect game
on beanie baby day!
but the very next game got ugly
and tino got drilled in the back
but we all smiled when Lloyd went wild
and darryl gave Benitz a healthy whack
well, we lost jeter for a while
in his first big DL ride
but that didn't compare
to that big bad scare
on Bernie William's slide
Curtis' feilding satisfied this town
in the msg video they show him falling down
and when Bernie came back
his bat began to smack
as he went for the AL batting crown!
Then on to september
for Shane it was one to remember
a late season king
with a home run swing
his numbers put MGuire in a blender!
(well, not quite, but it was tough to rhyme, y'know!)
Well, after that we swept the rangers
and learned of our Straws terrible plight
but we gave thanks
as like our yanks
Darryl wouldn't go down without a fight!
in cleveland things got bad,
but we forgave our dear chuckie
but not the indians fans
for making fun of ann (that would be boomers mom)
or Justice for saying we liked Uzis
Then in the great fall classic
Paulie made an awesome play
and someone who was a little less underrated:
Brosius near aways saved the day
to specify the aforemention people
Paulie got in his licks (the catch in the first inning?)
and in game three, our dear scottie
made us remember leyritz in '96
well now it's cold december
and our team's back and ready to go
so while I wait for spring trainging
I watch the '98 World series video!

Oh, Griffey got run over by a reindeer
walking back from the stadium world series eve!
he denied being jealous of the yankees
but as for me and rest of the universe...we believe!
he'd been drinkin' to much root beer
hopin' the yanks would throw the game
but all good yankee fans know the truth-
only the black sox and the mariners are that lame!
we watched as Paulie made that great catch
and Brosius got his series MVP
and I am just too happy to announce
like us, Griffey watched it on TV!!!!
Yes, Griffey got run over by a reindeer
and although seattle has nothing to fear
I have this iddy little feeling...
they'll be no 56 home runs for him this year!
