The World in which I have created this game is called Asligoth. Asligoth is a dark world crawling with evil creatures. It is a land where people huddle together in small communities trying desperately to defend themselves from the evil that is plaguing the world. My game uses standard mechanics from the 1st edition Advance Dungeons and Dragons system with a few tweaks here and there. A Brief History
The god who created Asligoth, named Ligoth, is no longer looking down upon the world. Some say he has been killed or imprisoned by his eldest son Belledosh others say that he has left morning for hte loss of his true love Amouthia who was killed at he hands of his eldest son. Now the children of Ligoth and Amouthia, the lesser gods, have to fight to control an influence the world. In an ancient battle The Great King, a god and champion of the civilized races and second born to Ligoth, forced Belledosh and his armies of darkness deep into the southern parts of the world. For years there was peace as all the world though Belledosh defeated, but in the last hundred years old evils have been creeping up from the south. There are rumors that the black Forge has been rekindled and the dungeons of the god Maalal have begun producing evil warriors for what will inevitable be another battle as Belledosh attempts to retake his seat of power in Aligoth.

A Little Geography
If I can I will try and get a map posted on this site somewhere. Without one it is simplest to say that the world can be broken up into 9 basic areas.
*Far in the North is the Frozen North. No one can survive here it is just too cold.
*The Northern Wastes lay just south of the frozen north. This is where the barbarian tribes of northmen and dwarves make their homes.
*Next is the Central Peaks. This is a mountain range that runs from the northern wastes into the dark south in between the imperial provinces and the eastern plains. Dwarves and gnomes make there homes deep in underground caverns here.
*The Imperial Provinces are right in the middle of everything. This is considered civilized humanity however there are very few city states with any sort of guard that actual protects a large number of people from the outside. The borders are nothing more than imaginary lines for tax purposes.
*TheGreen World. This is a forest nestled in the north eastern area of the Imperial Provinces right up against the Central Peaks where the fey-kind live. It is place of magic and nature.
*The Three Islands are a group of huge land masses to the west of the Imperial Provinces. The northern most of them has a civilization of elves that have left the forests but still pursue good ends. The southern island has a kingdom of humans with excellent borders and defense that keep to themselves shutting out the worries of the world. The western most island, also the smallest, is dotted with trade cities and is known for its cut throat and illegal trade activity.
*The Western Plain lies to the west of the Central Mountains. Here many tribes of all races can be found roaming free and battling each other for resources.
*The Southern Desert lies right below the Imperial Provinces. It is similar to the western plain except that there is one major city controlled by Humans, Dwarves and Elves called Xissoraxx. A mighty army and civilization stands here as a the first line of defense should Belledosh try to cross the desert into the northern lands.
*Finally the Dark South is a place of fire and ash (think Mordor from LOTR). This is where Belledosh and his armies live.
