Comments: There is a passage in the Bible where Jesus Christ is confronting one of the churches. He states: “Because you say, ‘I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,: and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked...” Revelation 3:17 A lot of times I sense the mood in the Christian church is a prideful attitude of being spiritually “full”. When in reality we are spiritually “starving”. It becomes evident in how mainstream Christians like me treat non-Christians who do not understand or do not agree with our point of view. Judgment and hate, self-righteousness behavior we have is not representative of Jesus who came to this earth to save and set free. To bring compassion and grace, and mercy, not judgment. The hand on top of the head, in the painting, shows God wanting to meet that need but my pride is preventing me from being fed with His love. He continues in the passage: “I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire, that you may become rich, and white garments, that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes, that you may see.....He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches..” Revelation 3:18, 22
