If you have the salt and the inclination, salt the rim in a saucer of rocksalt.
[Kosher rocksalt is preferred, but non-iodised seasalt will do.]
Otherwise, just sprinkle in some table salt from a shaker. Need electrolytes!
Add a bit of ice, pour a shot of vodka (not too cheap) in the glass.
Add bottled bloody mary mix to fill. If hand shakes, leave lots of freeboard.
Stir. Add straw. If you like, add celery or some damn vegistick. Serve.
Consider some adhoc variations - add flavoring as strikes your fancy.
Sometimes a lime wedge seems right. Maybe some A-1 sauce. Free your mind.
