Deus Ex Machina

Out Of Character (OOC) Notes

The guild of Deus Ex Machina, does not choose to follow the typical teachings of either the commoners, lorekeepers, or even elders of Istaria. If the magus is to be defeated, all races of those carrying the gift must work together. For this reason, we have formed a non-prejudice grouping of fighters, crafters, and casters. We are family, and as such, we expect that all of our members treat each other as kin. This means that, if a fellow member in the guild of Deus Ex Machina is in need of help, and you are capable of providing that aid, you are expected to provide it to the best of your ability, regardless of travel distance or other slightly inhibiting factors. On the other hand, keep in mind that you are not the only member of the guild working on honing your skills. If you require aid, and all of the members of the guild are currently busy with other tasks, do not continue to bother them, they will get to you in as much haste as possible. Now we do not expect you to not have minor quarrels or diagreements with your fellow brethren, every creature is entitled to their differing opinions. However, we cannot have our members constantly arguing with one another, thus, if disagreements arise, you and the person or persons you are having the disagreement with, are to come to a council representative, and have them work it out. If your quarrel is with a council representative, take it up with a different council member. The high councelman will have the final say, but his guidance is only to be sought by non-council members in the most extreme cases. Similarly, everone in the guild has a right to make suggestions as to how the guild rules and governing tactics should be changed for improvement, but average members should take these ideas to a council rep, not the high councilman.
