Hale Travelers. We are a group of individuals that belong to the mother of all histroical reenactment groups: The Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). Hailing from Kalamazoo, MI (USA), we for many reasons have found that we are only truely comfortable in modern representations of old clothing (garb) or when we are suiting up in armor and hiting each other with big sticks. Oh, How rude of me not to introduce myself. I am Rowan McCael in SCA mundanely known as David Kirksey, and I can truely say that this is mostly my brainchild, well, the household anyway.
I know this page doesn't seem like a hole lot right now, but being only an hour or so old, there shall be more updates as they appear. For now, bear with me for I am knew at this whole web authoring thing, but I shall endeavor to do my best, for what more can a person truely accomplish? I will begin with a brief descrption of who we are and why we even have bothered to make a page.
It began about five years ago. While working in a local convenience store I met an individual involved in an organization devoted to medieval times. Being one to always love a sword over a gun I thought it might be worth checking out. Soon I was schooled in the art of SCA combat, an all out style of martial-sport having it's roots from medieval combat. I was hooked. Shortly thereafter I told a friend, he told a friend, and thus we created House Wilted Rose.
As time permits, I shall continue to update this page. Bear with me, it will soon shall be much better than it is now:)
