Pir Baba
His original name was Syed Ali Termizi. He was Syed by caste, and his pedigree table goes up to Hazrat Ali (RA). His father name’s was Syed Qambar Ali. Pir baba born at Termiz (Badakhshan) in 908 Hijri (1500AD). His mother was daughter of Mughal Emperor Zaheeruddin Babar. In 956 Hijri (1546AD) Pir baba migrated to Buner and settled at Pacha Kalay . In 991 Hijri (1583AD) he died and was buried at Pacha Kalay. A shrine was also built. Pir baba has two sons namely Syed Mustafa and Syed Habib. Syed Mustafa died issueless, during the life of Pir Baba. Syed Habib migrated to Kunar, Afghanistan and died there. He had three sons Mian Abdul Baba, buried at Takhtaband (Buner), Mian Qasam Baba buried at Pir Kalay Swat and Mian Hassan Baba buried near Saidu at Swat. In 1945-46 construction work started on a prestigious mosque near the shrine, which ended during the rule of Ex-Wali of Swat state. Charai Baba was supervisor of the construction work of the mosque. His tomb is also situated in the vicinity of the mosque. Qadar Nagar![]() In the 1960 Late Obaidullah Khan Durrani purchased 370 Kanal and 11 Marlas of hilly land (Now called Qadar Nagar) from the owners of Batai, Tehsil Gadezai. Subsequently he purchased 74 Kanals and 11 marlas more land in the said area. Thus making the total 445 Kanals and 2 Marlas. Out of it he donated 58 Kanals and 8 Marlas of land to Qadar Nagar Trusst, while the rest of the land was transferred through inheritance mutation on the death of Obaidullah Khan Durrani to his sons, Moin Ahmed, Jahangir and Habib Ahmed, daughters namely, Yasmeen, Nasreen and Mahmooda, and widow Akhter-u-Nisa. Late Obaidullahj Khan Durrani migrated from India to Pakistan and was Principal of Engineering College, Peshawar. He was Cheshtia by Maslak. After death he was buried in Qadar Nagar. His property and Qadar Nagar Trust are now under the charge of Mr. Tahoor-ul-Islam son in law of Late Obaidullah Khan Durrani. |
