Here are a few stories submitted about Bill:

I remember when Bill first taught me how to ride a motorcycle. He bought me a RT180 dirt bike for Mothers' Day. We had gone out that night and we had a few drinks. He decided to load up the dirt bike and go out to SeeBee Park with the kids. We took Billy's go-kart and they played around with that. It was after mid-night and pitch black. We taped a flashlight to the go-kart for the kids. I got on the bike and pulled in the clutch and pulled the throttle all the way back and let go of the clutch. I flew one way and the bike went forward a few feet. I remember Bill yelling at me telling me to get back up and get on the bike. I was laughing so hard I couldn't get up. We ended up rolling on the ground laughing until a cop showed up wanting to know what was going on. We told him and he just chuckled and turned away. Ever since then, I was addicted to riding my own. - Jeanette

I remember when I took the motorcycle safety course. He was so proud of me when I came home and had my license. Two days later he took off work and called me to meet him at Woody's. I took off and went down there and he had bought me a 2001 883 Sportster. It was so pretty. He looked like a big ape on that thing though. I rode that for a little over a year. He made the mistake last year at the ROT rally of telling me to ride his bike to the bathroom. Once I got on it, he never rode it again. He bought his Ultra and then gave me his Dyna. - Jeanette

Talking with Bill's best friend the other night he reminded me of one evening Chad, Stacy, Bill and I had spent together. We had gone to the flea market in Buffalo Gap with the kids and then we went to Cahoots for a snack. Bill wanted some oysters and cold beer. The kids ended up at Chad and Stacy's and we decided to hit the town. We took our Cadillac STS we had at the time. We went to Woody's, Lone Star and then the VFW so that Bill could get his Cognac. Chad and Bill were doing shots and cutting up the entire night. We decided we wanted to go to the "adult" bar - Maximus. So, we loaded up in the car, the guys up from and us girls in the back. Bill was doing over 100mph on the way - Stacy and I were in the back seat floor praying for our safety. We get to Maximus, pay to get in and get a beer. Bill calls me over and tells me he didn't feel well. The next thing I knew - Bill was throwing up all over me. Chad runs over and tells me we got to get him out of here. I get him home - he has no clue what he did. That was one night I will never forget. - Jeanette

Jeanette You know the two of us have known each other for many years, you were there when I was 21 and now I am approaching 33 (much faster than I want to). You have always made me laugh, you were the best friend at had in TX, and when I saw you with Bill,at first I was like freaked out a little, remember the tattoo, and I was like you would have to your shirt off for that?? He was great too(he was always accepted me and whomever I was with (didn't pass judgement) .....he was always friendly ( I hadn't seen you with anyone like that before) I saw how happy Bill made you, and that was all that mattered. I Loved both of you. I guess what I am trying to say is ..seeing you with Bill..was wonderful. The two of you made me believe in LOVE again. I love you with all of my heart , you need us, and we need you Beth and family

I think of all the times we shared together. Bill and Mike making mud puddles in the yard so they could slide the dirt bike. The same two out at the lake going thru the water with it up to their waste. The night that the go-cart got away and you two chased it and Michelle burnt her leg. She was so drunk it didn't hurt. The night we sat on the back porch doing the head banging. Bill and Bob's hair just a flying. We had alot of good times together. You two were a very special couple to me in alot of ways. I don't know if I ever told you but Thank you for all that you did for me. Terry Pittman

I still think the best story is about you telling the cop He was just upset because you were riding the bike instead of him riding you. I just knew you were going to jail. Bill just standing there smiling at you. I don't' think I ever saw him get mad. That was a good weekend. Bill did a good job of cooking breakfast. LOL
