Tornadoes

According to the National Weather Service,
tornadoes killed 51 people in the U.S. in
2003 alone. The purpose of this website is
to inform people on how to spot and report
dangerous weather to protect themselves and
their community.

!!!IMPORTANT!!!: You should NEVER go out and
"chase" a tornado unless you are specially
trained to do so. The observation this web-
site teaches about can be done from your
front window or door BUT you should always
check with local weather service to make sure
that the storm is far away. If there is a
threat of severe weather in your area you
should TAKE COVER and
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MAKE OBSERVATIONS
UNTIL YOUR LOCAL WEATHER STATION
HAS ASSURED YOU THAT THE DANGER HAS
PASSED.
