Dragon Tales Part 2
"Well, that's our story," Akki says as she brushes her red hair out of her face. Kakudo fidgets as she tries to cover up her flat chest. And the man with the brown braid and violet eyes looks at them a little strange as they all site [sit] around the table.
"That's a very interesting story, but I think you have mistaken me for someone else," says the violet-eyed man.
"But Istoo! (AN: yes that is a real Japanese name *evil laughter and much hacking* becha thought she was going to say Duo huh!) You have the violet eyes and long brown hair that I saw in my vision!" Akki practically screams.
"You have to think about it. The person was a boy, ne?"
"Yes!!" both Akki and Kakudo shout.
"Well, I am a man of 30 seasons, I have 8 children: one boy and seven girls. So of course I couldn't be the one you're looking for."
Akki and Kakudo look at each other, and Akki adds rapidly, "You have a son? How old? And does he look like you? Because if he looks like you then we have found one of the heroes."
"Wait a minute I have no problem about you wanting to talk to me about saving the world. But my son's only seventeen. And I'm not going to let you two take him away from me. He's my only son, and you shall not have him!" Istoo bit out, his fury mounting with each terse word.
Akki jumps out of her seat ready to attack him for being such an idiot, and for being so selfish. But before she could hurt him, Kakudo stops her. <He will come to us when the time is right, and the call is strong. He will be like the rest; they will come to us if we can't find them in time. You know this!>
<Yes, but I would have preferred that he had the opportunity to build a bond with the others.> Akki broke off her mental link with her partner and turned to face the glowering human. "We will go now! We thank you for the clothing," Akki says gracefully, and through gritted teeth.
"You aren't going to press things about my son?" Istoo questions.
"If you think that one life means so much more then the entire world? Then yes, we will leave you alone." Akki looks up and over Istoo's shoulder to see a young boy about seventeen. And he looked almost like a clone of his father. /No wonder I thought his father was one of the chosen ones.\ "But I don't think he will leave you alone."
Istoo looks over his shoulder and jumps up from the table. "Son, what are you doing home early?"
"Class got done early. Who are they? And what do they want?"
"Nothing they were just leaving!"Istoo looks back over his shoulder at the two girls with a glare, "Weren' you?"
"Yes we were, but we're not done. There is another chosen one here, somewhere. And when we find him we will be leaving with or without your son. But remember it's his choice! You can't interfere with his choice once he has made up his mind! Good day Sir!" Akki snaps.
"Father?"
"Not now Duo!!"
Akki and Kakudo stand up and as they leave the small, but lovely, town house in search of the other chosen one, they hear Duo and his father argue heatedly. Akki and Kakudo shook their heads at each other, sharing their combined frustration at their situation and Istoo's foolish stubborness. However, they were thankful that he had provided them both with proper clothing, ensuring that they wouldn't stand out like before.
Two hours later.
"Okay!!! That is the fifth time we have gotten kicked out of a place, because we didn't have what humans call money!!" Akki grumbles, while picking herself and Kakudo off the ground.
"We've got to find out what this thing is that they call money!" Kakudo announces.
"Tell me about it!" Akki exclaims while she rolls her eyes. "But first let's find the other chosen one. He or she can tell us what 'money' is, ne?"
"Okay, but I don't think we should do it here. Let's find some secluded place. People are starting to stare and look at us strangely," Kakudo suggests.
"Uh..." Akki looks around and gulps. "Y...yes let's do that." Akki then takes off running, dragging Kakudo behind her.
Sometime later in the middle of the forest . . .
"He's got black eyes...with...um..." Akki squeezes her eyes closed as she tries to get a better picture of the next chosen one. "Shoulder length black hair, pulled back in a ponytail. He also looks like he's from China. "Akki opens her eyes panting a little from the exertion of the spell. "That's all I can read on him, he's also here in the town...well more like over in the town, since we are in the forest."
Kakudo snickers at Akki. "Come on we don't have all the time in the world . Let's go find him."
Kakudo and Akki travel back to the town. And once there Kakudo suggests that they split up. But after Akki's explanation of how they would get lost, they decide not to. "Okay so how do we go from here?" Kakudo asks, a little irate.
"Well, in the vision I remember seeing a dragon statue on the outside of the building he was standing in front of. So maybe that's where he lives," Akki answers.
"Okay, so we look for a place that has a dragon statue on the outside. Sounds sensible enough." But when the girls took a closer look at the buildings they notice that almost all of them had dragon statues out in front. Kakudo glares at Akki hotly.
"So...um...which one do you want to go to first...hehe," Akki looks at the buildings with an statement of dread on her face.
"Well if we don't get started now we'll never get done." Kakudo states.
