Dragon Tales

Part 1

As dawn breaks over the horizon, a bright red flash
of light is seen from a cave's entrance.
And from that cave came two terrifying, pee in your
pants
roars, from two very awake and very cranky dragons.

"Issss it time already?" Kakudo asks.

"We wouldn't be awake if it wassssn't!" Akki
retorts.

"Ssssmart assssssss!"

"Why thank you."

"Umm...Akki do you remember how we change into our
human form? I forget. It'ssss been what, three or
four thoussssand yearssss ssssince I lasssst
changed?"

Akki rolls her eyes, even as she launches into her
lecture. "It'ssss like when you firsssst learn to fly or
breath fire. You can't, nor sssshould you ever forget how. Now
closssse your eyessss and concentrate on gathering your
powerssss and on your human form. And when you open your eyessss you
sssshould be in your human form. You can watch me and try to
do the ssssame thing."

Akki closes her eyes and her scales start to glow a
blood red, as she concentrates on gathering her powers. The first thing that

happens is her wings start to shrink, to the point that they completely
disappear into her body. Next her arms, legs, body, head, and neck start to
shrink. And as they shrink they start to look more and more
human. As she reaches her full human form, hair on
her head starts to grow and grow and grow, until it
reaches to about the middle of her calves. As she
completes her transformation she opens her eyes and says, "See
Kakudo easy."

Kakudo snorts as she rolls her eyes. "Ssssure
eassssy for you! I've only transsssformed three timessss.
You, on the other hand, have transsssformed like what, a
hundred or more timessss a human year?"

Akki sighs, "Fine so it's not that easy for
you. But unless you want me to go help the heroes all
by myself, I suggest you try to transform!"

"All right, all right I'll try ssssheessssh!" Kakudo
closes her eyes as she concentrates on gathering her
powers. She then starts to glow a bright gold, almost white
in color. Her transformation is the same as Akki's,
only a bit slower considering that she hadn't had as much
experience as Akki. Her human form looks
very much like her sister's, only she is
shorter, flatter-chested, and has
blond hair instead of red. "Well I'm ready let's
go!"

"Wait we can't go yet! We have to do a
spell to locate one of them. Or would you like to
wander the earth until the prophecy runs its
course?"

"Fine! Let's do this spell and get it over with.
I want to meet these people."

"Sheesh! And here I thought I was the
impatient one." Akki looks into the fire
and concentrates on the heroes
of the prophecy and what she knows about
them. After about five minutes she gets a location
on the one closest by, and a brief mental
picture of what he looks like. "Alright I've got a
location not too far from here, at most twenty miles
to the north, and a mental picture of him. Although it was brief, all I
could really catch were
his eyes, and hair. Well come on, we don't
have all day! We have twenty miles of ground
to cover, let's go." As Akki leaves
the cave she grabs her bag of magic and Kakudo's
too.

One day later.

"Not far! Not far! I can't believe I listened to
you! If we had flown, we
could've been there already!" Kakudo huffs, while
she attempts to regain her breath.

Akki sighs as she tries to do something with her
long hair. She couldn't, for her life remember when her
hair had been short, if it ever had been. "You know we would attract too
much attention that way. We're supposed to be an extinct race."

"Right, right! So when will we be there?"

"Well, we've had to stop often because we're not use
to our human legs and we have been asleep for over a hundred years. I'd
say, oh I don't know, maybe half-a-day more. And if we
want to make that happen, we'd better get a move on."

"Yeah, yeah! Fine, fine!" Kakudo grumbles, and walks
north making Akki scramble to catch up.

Six hours later.

"Finally, we made it!" Kakudo cheers, as she
sees the small town come into view.

"Yes, we did make it," Akki replies, a little tired.
As they walk into the town they notice that everyone
is staring at them.

"I thought we looked human?" Kakudo questions.

"We do, but look! They have their bodies covered in
strange material. They could have a nude taboo."

"Epp, maybe your right! But what do we do now?"
Kakudo asks nervously.

"I don't know!!" Akki replies a little scared

"Hey, what are you poor things doing here looking
like that?" says an unfamiliar voice, as the stranger
rushes up to them with a pair of blankets to wrap around
the two dragons-turned-girls.

<It's him!!!!> Akki says using her telepathic link
with her sister, while staring at the man with a surprised, dumbfounded
look on her face.

<Are you sure?>

<Yes, I'm sure! I would never forget those violet
eyes and long brown hair that I saw in my vision. But the
question now is, how do we get him to help us?>

All of a sudden Kakudo collapses into the
stranger's arms and says, "Oh sir, we are
in desperate need of your help!!!"

<Well that's one way *sigh*.>

The violet-eyed man has a worried look on his lovely
heart-shaped face and asks, "What's wrong? And
whatever it is, I'll try to help you out in any way
I can!"

"Well first we need to be properly covered, and then
we'll tell you our story," Akki answers.

"Of course, of course! Right this way. Follow me to
my home." As the stranger leads them away a Persian
blue-eyed man watches them, carefully.
