The Prince’s Choice

Part 6

“What is so important that you made us leave?” Meiran poked Wufei in the
chest.
"Wife, that was uncalled for." Wufei sighed. "Does anyone else find that
boy a little odd?"
"As in someone who has never left the forest." Heero said.
"Ah yes. May I also state that that forest happens to be a magical
forest? Perhaps the boy is a magical being."
"Are you trying to tell me he could be my life mate?"
"A possibility. What can you tell us about him, Quatre?"
Quatre blinked. "Um well... uh."
"You haven't been paying attention have you?"
"Well...."
"It is alright, Quatre."
Meiran by this time had gone to the door and was opening it slowly. She
looked in and saw Duo sitting on the bed rocking back and forth. She sighed,
it seemed that this boy named Duo was lost with out his friend. She closed
the door and turned to the others. "Maybe you should take him to your room,
Heero." All eyes turned on her. "He seems really upset. I doubt leaving him
in there alone is a good idea. Heero take him to you room and I'll have a
servant bring up something for you to eat."
Heero sighed, he then went in to the room. Duo was still rocking. Heero
went up to him. "He will be fine, and so will you. Come."
Duo looked at him. "Where?"
"To another room. You're too up set. You need to relax and rest. You will
never do so if you are in here. My friend Quatre will watch over him. I
promise nothing will happen to you."
Duo got up slowly. "Alright."

Duo sat down on the bed. It was big and soft and Duo really didn't know
what to make of it. He looked over at Heero who was removing one of his
robes. He hung it up and turned to Duo. Duo was caught by Heero striking
cobalt blue eyes. His face didn't show much emotion but his eyes spoke
volumes.
Heero looked at Duo, and mentally sighed. He knew when he first laid
eyes on Duo he was on his way to love. If Wufei was right and Duo was a
magical being then maybe Duo could be his life mate. He sighed again, he was
hoping too much.
Heero sat down next to Duo. "My name is Heero Yuy. I won't hurt you."
Duo looked at him. "OK."
"You don't talk much do you?" Duo chuckled, Trowa used to tell him he
talked too much. "What is so funny?"
"My friend.... He would disagree with you."
"Really? One of my knights will be bring us something to eat, is that
alright?"
"Yes." Duo lowered his head.
"Why are you doing that?"
Duo lifted his head. "Doing what?"
"Bowing your head. I'm not going to bite it off you know."
"Gomen. I heard you tell that man that you were a prince."
"I am. But you do not need to bow."

Quatre sighed as he sat next to the bed. The strange young man had not
yet awaken. His friend was worried and now Meiran had him leave. Quatre
looked over at the man. "You know this would be easier if you were awake.
Your friend is very worried about you." Quatre paused for a moment. "If you
were awake then we could get to know one another."
"Why?"
Quatre blinked and looked closer at the young man. He had not opened his
eyes and he couldn't feel anything from him. Yet Quatre knew some one had
said something. "Excuse me?"

“I asked ‘why’ ” The young man opened his eyes slowly to reveal emerald

green eyes.
Quatre tried not to gasp. His eyes were the most beautiful eyes he had
ever seen. "Um... ’why’ what?"
"Why do you wish to know me better?"
"Uh... I'm not really sure. You seem like a nice person."
"Where am I?"
"In my room at the inn."
"Why?"
"You were hurt. We needed someplace to take care of you."
"Where is my friend?"
"He is in another room. He seems very upset by you being hurt. We thought
it would be best if he wasn't here to worry so much." the young man looked at
Quatre. "Um... my name is Quatre. What's your's?"
"Trowa."
"It is a pleasure to meet you Trowa."

"Is there a reason why you wanted them to be alone?" Wufei laid down on
the bed.
"If they find life mates then we can return home." Meiran turned to her
husband. "I have enjoyed this trip husband but now I wish to return to our
homeland." Meiran laid down next to Wufei, who opened his arms for her. She
snuggled up to him and laid her head on his chest. "We too have a kingdom to
run. It is unfair to our people to be away for so long."
"Aa I see. It has been a nice vacation, hasn't it?"
"Husband, do you think I was wrong?"
"No, wife, I don't. You are right that we need to return home. I did not
think it would take this long."
Meiran giggled. "That is because we had an arranged marriage. We did not
need to do much."
"Aa I see." Wufei kissed the top of her head. "I still hate you."
Meiran giggled some more. "I hate you more you know." Wufei chuckled.

"You seem to like it."
"It is very good. Thank you." Duo stuffed another bite of food into his
mouth.
"You don't need to thank me." Heero smirked. "My I ask you a question?"
"Sure what?"
"What do you do? I mean you know I'm a prince."
"What do I do?" Duo looked at Heero and stared into his eyes. "I live in
the forest."
"Yes but what do you do during the day?"
"Help Trowa. Play with the animals."
"What does Trowa do?"
"Fixes the animals when they get hurt." Heero reached up and took a
strain of Duo hair and put it behind his ear. That's when Heero noticed
Duo's ears. They were slightly pointed. Duo quickly reached up and pull his
hair so it would cover his ears. "Please don't"
"What are you?"
"I can't tell you."
"Why?"
"Because you'll take me away."
"If I took you anywhere it would be by your wish." Heero pulled Duo's
hair behind his ear again. "Please tell me what you are. Other than beautiful
that is."
"Nani?"
"I said you were beautiful. And I mean it." Heero lean closer to Duo till
their faces were mere inches away from each other.
"I'm.... I'm part pixie...." Duo gulped, he didn't know what was
happening, but part of him wanted Heero to come closer. "an...and part elf..."
"Such a wonderful combination." Heero closed the gap between them and
kissed Duo on the lips. To his surprise Duo responded. Heero licked Duo's
lower lip and Duo opened his mouth for Heero. Heero kissed Duo for all he was
worth. Duo started to lay down taking Heero with him.
