Part 4
Heero awoke to find two violet eyes staring at him. Heero smile. "Good
morning. Did you sleep well?"
Duo smiled back. "Yes. And good morning to you too."
Heero sat up and stretched. "Come on lets go and eat."
"Then can we plant the tree?"
"Hai, hai, then we can plant the tree. I think I know the perfect place
too."
Duo bounced out of the bed. "Honto, Where!?"
"It a surprise."
The two ate and then Heero showed Duo outside. They ran into Wufei and
Meiran who asked if they could come. Duo had no problems with it and neither
did Heero. Then they came across Trowa and Quatre. Trowa handed over the tree
to Duo. Duo looked at the tree and then at Trowa.
Trowa smiled a little. "I took it form the satchel. I thought it would be
safer."
Duo beamed and hugged Trowa. "Thank you oh Thank you!"
The six continued out to the courtyard. Heero stopped and looked at Duo.
"Is this okay?"
Duo looked around. He looked up at the castle wall and noticed that one
of the windows was to Heero's bed chambers. "Out side your room?"
"Hai, I thought you'd be happy with it close to you."
Duo looked at Heero, touched by his thought and then hugged him tightly.
"Thank you." He whispered into Heero's ear. Duo went to a spot and knelt
down. He began to dig. He pulled out the sapling and placed it carefully into
the ground and then placed the magic dirt around it. Duo said a little
blessing and the poured the magic water over it.
The King and Queen walked out at that time. "Are we interrupting?" the
king asked.
Heero turned to his father. "No father, we are planting a tree for Duo."
"It seems that you are all very interested in it. Something special?"
Duo turned to the King and bowed. "It is the Pixie Tree of Life. All
pixies are born in the tree, myself included."
"But it is just a sapling."
Duo giggled, "I shrunk it, so we could bring it here. It that alright?"
The queen smiled. "Yes of course. This is to be your home too."
Duo smiled and then turned around. He waved his hand and the tree started
to grow. Within minutes the tree was to the size that Heero had seen it in
the forest. Duo walked up to it and placed his hand on the tree. He felt a
rush of energy run through him. It was almost too much and he staggered
backwards.
"Duo?" Heero placed his hand on his shoulders.
"I'm alright, just caught me off guard is all." Duo smiled at everyone.

“ ‘s lot of energy to handle.” Duo put his hand back on the trunk of the tree.
The energy this time was not as intense. He closed his eyes and felt the
energy run through his body. He opened his eyes and looked up. He opened his
arms as three vines came down and wrapped around him. They pulled him up and
placed him on a branch. Duo leaned back and closed his eyes.
"Now what?" Meiran asked.
Trowa turned to her and said. "Now we let him regain his life-energy. He
might be up there awhile." Everyone took the hint and started to leave. Trowa
was about to leave when he noticed that Heero was still looking up into the
tree. "You know he might not mind if you joined him."
"Hn." Heero turned to go.
"You've already proven yourself, the tree will let you up." Trowa left as
did everyone else.
Heero turned and looked back at the tree and then started to climb it.
Trowa was right the tree let him climb with ease. He reached the limb that
Duo was on and looked at him. Duo's eyes opened partly and he smiled at
Heero. Heero sat down and started at his chosen.
"I didn't think you'd join me." Duo whispered.
"I didn't think I was allowed." Heero responded.
"You shall forever be welcomed here."
"Duo, your glowing."
"Hmm, the tree is feeding me. It feels good. Will you hold me?"
Heero smirked. "Of course." Heero climbed over to Duo and leaned against
the trunk. He held Duo close to him. After a few moments he began to feel a
tingling sensation. It started in his chest and the branch outward. "Duo? Duo
I feel... odd?"
"Hmm. Don't fight. The tree is trying to feed you as well."
"Why?"
"Because we will be bonded."
"I don't understand."
"You don't have to."
They were quiet for the rest of the time. They sat and felt the energy
being fed to them by the tree. Duo had fallen asleep in Heero's arms. Relena
had come out to the courtyard to think and to look for the prince. However
she saw the tree was new. She hadn't remembered there being a tree there
before. She looked up into the tree and saw the prince and his chosen. Or as
Relena liked to call him, The creature.
"Heeeeerrrrrrooooo!!!!" She yelled up into the tree.
Heero and Duo were a woken and looked at each other. Duo started looking
around franticly. "What's wrong Duo?" Heero put his hand on Duo's shoulder.
"I heard a banshee."
Heero chuckled. "Its not a banshee its just Princess Relena."
"Oh, are you sure she's not princess of the banshees?"
Heero smirk and then looked down at Relena. "What do you want?"
"To be with you my love. What are you doing up there with ‘that‘?" She
pointed to Duo.
Heero looked at Duo and then back at Relena. "He is my chosen and you
will refrain from talking to or about him in that manner. I will not allow
it!" Heero glared at her, anger was building inside of him.
Duo looked down at Relena. "I would listen to him Princess."
"Don't talk to me. You and I are not equals. I am royalty. I am above
you."
Duo's eyes narrowed. "I am the prince of pixies and elves you are a
spoiled brat." Duo began to glow. "I will not allow you to upset Heero. Leave
now or suffer."
Relena's eyes got big as she saw him begin to glow. She backed away and
left the courtyard. Heero looked at Duo, he was still glowing. Duo closed his
eyes and thought to himself. He tried to clam himself.
Duo looked over at Heero. "Sorry."
"For?"
"I was going to use my power on her." Duo lowered his head. "She doesn't
like me."
"Hn. That's not important. I do and so does Quatre, Trowa and the Changs.
Also I think my mother likes you. In fact I know she does. I'm not sure about
my father."
"Your mom likes me!" Duo's eyes lit up.

"So what do you think?"
"I think the wise advisors you have were right."
"Hn. What do you think of our son bonded to another male?"
The queen turned her cobalt blue eyes to her King and husband. "I think
that our son is becoming a better person, and he will be a great King. Much
like his father."
"He will have no heir."
"You don't know that."
The King turned his brown eyes to her. "Men cannot have children."
"Ah my king you forget that our son will be bonded to a magical being.
Anything is possible."
"I wonder what the Desert King will think of his son?"
The queen giggled. "He will be shocked."
"Hn. So you approve?"
"Yes, the boy is very sweet. I can tell that Heero has become very
protective of him."
The king smiled. "You can see the love in their eyes."

Duo jumped from limb to limb with ease. Heero sat and watched. Duo
reached the top and danced around and then started down again. Heero was
amazed at how well the tree could hold him up. Further more Heero was amazed
that the tree was giving him life-energy.
Duo swung down so he was right in front of Heero's face and upside down.
His hair spilling all over Heero's lap. “Wha’cha’ doin‘?”
Heero jumped a little. "Hn."
"You don't say much."
"I believe I said that back at the village where we met. I think I was
wrong."
Duo smiled. "When will we be bonded?"
"In two weeks."
"Then what happens?"
"What do you mean?"
"Well no ones ever told me about bonding before, so I want to know what
happens."
Heero blinked. "You have no idea what your getting into?" Duo shook his
head no. "Trowa never told you?"
"He said I would be with you forever. My mom used to say that when I got
bonded I would share life-energy with my mate as if it were air."
"Duo, you and I are to be bonded. That means we will belong to each
other. No one can come between us. All that I am is yours and all that you
are is mine. Do you understand?"
"I think so."
"Good."
