Say it with Love
-Setsuna-
I still have another problem. Two boys made things a little complicated. First,
there is Ryo-kun. His relationship with Kagome is disgusting. She was his
step-sister, his step-sister! The thought made me shudder. They won’t listen to
me. Everyone believes that I am jealous Kagome. I am not! I am just really
worried about him.
Speaking of which, that leads to my other problem.
I recently went out on a date with Seiho. He’s really fallen for me ever since.
Me? I don’t know how I feel about him, really. I bite on my lower lip.
“Does anyone have any questions?” I asked at the table. Ryo-kun, Kagome, Seiho,
and Chelsea shook their heads.
“You sure?” I asked.
“I think we’re good,” Ryo-kun replied. I closed my textbook.
“Okay,” I said. “Uh… well. That’s it for the day, I guess.” As I started packing
up, someone tugged on my sleeve. I looked up to see Seiho smiling at me.
“Yo!” he said with a wave. I tilted my head at him.
“Yes?” I asked.
“So, uh… I was wondering,” he began. “Are you free for the rest of the day?”
“I think so…” I had a guess of where this was headed.
“I figured that we could just hang out or something.”
“Hang out?”
“Yeah.”
“Um…” I feel like I should say yes. Yet, I don’t see any reason why not. Seiho
began frowning at me.
“No?” he asked. I shook my head.
“Of course,” I said. “I’ll hang out with you.” It didn’t take long for him to
perk back up.
“Great!” he said.
“Yeah…” I said.

We ended going to a ramen shop, a.k.a. his house. I looked around.
“Why didn’t you say we were going to your place?” I asked. Seiho shrugged at me.
“Didn’t think about it,” he replied. I placed my hand to my forehead.
“You are hopeless, you know that?” I said. Still, I wanted to chuckle. He’s such
a good like that.
“So, what are we doing right now?” I asked.
“I don’t know,” he said.
“You don’t know?”
He shrugged at me. “I didn’t think that far ahead.”
“Hm.”
He tilted his head at me. “Is something wrong?”
I dropped my shoulders and sighed. “I don’t understand it.”
“Understand what?”
I narrowed my eyes at him. “Why do you like me so much?”
“Huh?”
“I mean, I’m overbearing, demanding, a buzzkill, old maid, and too serious.”
“I know.”
“So… why?”
Seiho’s cheeks turned bright red. “I just do.”
“But why?”
“Does there have to be a reason?” Seiho asked. I couldn’t answer him. He made it
complicated when he asked the next question.
“How do you feel about me?” Seiho asked. I gave him a blank stare.
“I…” I replied. Why won’t the words come out of my mouth? I don’t even know what
to say. He frowning at me.
“Too soon?” he asked. I pressed my lips together as I nodded. He gave me a
little smile as he patted me on the hand.
“It’s okay,” he told me. “I understand.” His response didn’t sit well with me.
“Seiho…” I said. He shook his head at me.
“No,” he told me. “I want to promise you this.” He held up his hand when I
opened my mouth.
“Don’t speak,” Seiho said. “Just listen.” I closed my mouth as I started to
dread where this was headed. Seiho grabbed both of my hands.
“Setsuna-chan,” he spoke up. “I swear on my heart that
I will do everything in my part to win your love!” I felt like screaming again.
I nodded with a nervous laugh.
“O-kay…” I said.
Oh crap! What do I do?
“Oh!” we heard someone said. “I didn’t know we had guests over.” Seiho and I
looked up to see is mother walking the restaurant part of the house. She had
just tried on her apron.
“Hello, Setsuna-chan,” she said. I waved at her with an awkward smile.
“Hi,” I said in a tiny voice. I wanted to sink into the floor. I don’t know how
to handle this. Somehow, I felt that his family would make it that much more
difficult to decide.
