WARNING: This may get very boring because it is long, and tells about everything that happened

Well, I'll start by saying, it the Mountain Dew Free Flow tour was awsome. I just say everything in order as it happened. WE got there, my god, this place is like a mall, it is so HUGE. Travis skating in front of Vans Skatepark right before the contest.

When we got in, there was a pool, a practice room, and then this huge room to skate. i was just amazed. And so many skaters, I knew i had no chance. lol. to say the least. Registration was only like $5 to participate, i wasn't really planning on it, but i thought $5 is a good price just to skate at a park, the S.P.O.T costs about $8. So I signed up. Well each group (11 and under, 12-15, 16-18, and 19 and up) had 20 mintues off free skate, all together, then each group broke down into 15 minute warm ups to get a run together.

P.S. I feel really sick right now, i had about 12 cans of Mountain Dew, because it was free, 3 bottles of Pepsi Blue, because i had never had it, and 2 bottles of water, too stop my stomach ache. Needless to say, first thing i did when i got home was go piss ;). lol

It came to my group, 12-15, to warm up, I didn't really want to skate in the Competition because i was afraid to make a fool of myself, but i was like hey, the warm up time, is pretty much, a free time, and place to skate. So i did the warm up, then he called that it was time to get the contest underway for the 12-15 year old Boys.

Well, my gosh, a miracle happened, I swear to god, God, must have given me some push to skate better(truth is i prayed). Well all the fear left me, and it was about one thing, winning this contest. I skated pretty much the pyrimid the whole time, first trick i landed was a ollie over it. I think i got that one first try, next came an ollie 180, that took a few tries, and one of the tries, i went over perfect, then on the way down, i did the splits, my board and left foot went one way, my right foot the other. That hurt, only time i fell though. Then i thought of this crazy idea to start kickflipping the pyrimid, lol, i really cant do that normally, but i think it was a mix of God and natural Adrenline, but i did it about 3rd try. Then i got an even crazier idea to double kickflip the pyrimid. Got that about first try. Then i did a pop shuvit, and then a shuv it indy grab over it, that one took some time. Then i got another idea, to 360 shuvit over the pyrimid, well, hell why not, i can do it sometimes on flat, but like a said sometimes, during that contest i never landed it. Well, then the contest was over, and the girls contest went on, there was only 2 girls, so it was a perfect time to just practice and mess around. When it came time to call out the top 15 skaters of the day, this is out of all age groups, i was just sitting there, thinking if only, if only this, and that, well my name and helmet number was called, and i about passed out lol, (they make you wear these stupid numbers on your helmet, which you also have to wear, to identify you.

I was in shock i made the top 15. To be honest, i believe the only reason i made it was because, during the girls skate, i was doing crazy stuff up in the stands, like double flips, primo slides, 360 flip out, 360 shuvits and fakie 360 shuvits, i was just having a blast. Turns out the judges were skattered, throught the crowd, and i think one may have seen the tricks, had i know they were watching, i would have froze up.

So i made it to finals, the top 15 skaters, and called my dad to hurry and get his butt here, so he could watch me skate in the finals. Then i went and skated during the warm up for all final contestants, with only 15 skaters out there, it was a lot easier to keep the little kids out of your way. During that time, i landed the 360 shuvit over the pyrimid, it only took me about like 30 trys lol, and on one of the trys i accidently did a 360 flip, so that probably got me some points, though i must warn everyone now, NO I CAN'T DO A 360 flip over a pyrimid, that was luck, hell i rarely, and i mean rarely can land them on flat ground. OH and maybe not the best trick i did, but i liked the most, was i ollied all the way over the pyrimid, to flat ground, about 3 times, got it first try, then took me 2 more trys to pull it off again, after that i got it everytime, and some of the photographers were actually taking my picture, so that gave me a moral boost. To be honest, i didnt hit many rails tricks, the rail was really high, and on top of the pyrimid, soi did boardslide it, and i attempted to crooked it, but after only one time trying that, i knew i couldnt do it and gave up. i think one, if not the only reason i made top 15 was becasue i was trying tricks no one else was, like the 360 shuvits and the double flips over the pyrimid, that and i kept trying over and over, till i got each trick. Finally, the warm up ended for finals, and the final contest started, ok, this was bad, I was so tired, i mean incredibly tired, probably more tired then i ever have been in my life. I tried to hard during warm up. I wanted first place so bad. I landed almost none of my tricks, cept the ones i already did, the only new trick i did, was hardflip the pyrimid, and that took about 20 tries, after that i was just too tired to do much else.. I tried constantly to varial flip it, to 360 shuvit to indy, to FS and BS flip it, none of which i landed. All i know is when he said 10 minutes left, i just wanted it to be over, i didnt care what place i got, unless it was first, second or third, because those places got a new board, which i chipped mine there, they got new shoes, which i already have, but the best part was. THEY GOT SPONCEORED(spelled wrong). Then after tiem was up, he kept saying 1 mor minute, then 1 more minute after that, i gues he liked watching us skate lol. But i didnt land a single trick the last 5 minutes, i just tried to look busy, because i didnt want them to see how tired i was. When he finally said that is time, i about dropped dead

Well after that, turns out I placed 9th, which hell, i didnt think i would place in the top 100. For that place,I got a mountain dew flow tour skating boarding T-shit, a Van's Backpack(best thing ever, i wanted one sooooooo bad, i was going to get a DC one, but it cost to much, and my mom thought it was a waste of money, "just because it held my skateboard" :(. So i was THRILLED to get even that. I got like a water bottle, stickers, and this awsome grip tape, that has the Mountain Dew sign and the Van's Sign engraved in it. I am saving that till i get a new board. So, DO i think it was worth it? For $5? HELL YES. But i did get realyl sick and tired. Oh and i "accidently" kept the knee pads, i gave them back the helmet and the elbow pads, but i have bad knees, and those knee pads, really helped me skate. OH YA, lol. I also got a hug from the girl that works at the park for making top 15, lol. Ya, well, i just want to thank my girl Lizzie, she is so awsome, for telling me about this contest, and really really encourageing me to go, I'm really sorry that she had family day and couldnt go though, first time i was ever in Orlando, and i also want to thank Jon, who works at the Cove, for giving me all the details about it, and pretending to care lol. (p.s. you better take me skating at your college USF, like you said.)

Thats all, here is some pics of the place and me, and all the junk.

Here are some pics of me and the park.

Me and the stuff i won at the park

Me with the same stuff, at home computer. (i love that backpack to death)lol

Me with Mountain Dew, boy was it good the first 10 cans, lol. i swear i had so much it made me sick!!!!

The pool at Van's Skatepark

Here are some pics of the park, well the the section they had the conest held in at least.

Note:I just heard that not everyone believes I finished top 15, mostly because of Nestaseya from what i hear. well, umm, you only win the Van's/MountainDew Promo backpack if you do, check out the site if you dont believe me, it is www.mountaindew.com, they only list the top 3 finalists of each city, but they should list the prizes they give out to the finalists.
i also had my friend Travis there who went to watch me, and my Dad, Stan, who was there when i skated in the finalists contest, and both were there when i got my stuff, i had to show them my helmet number, and they had to verify my name when i won. i never claimed to win first, i just took top 15. PS, i dont really care what Nestaseya thinks, because next year, I plan on taking 1st instead of 9th.
