Notes: This started out when I was looking over random sayings I had
written over the past year, and the opening line is one. I have no
clue how it came about, but it did. It was a half finished
beginning,
and this is what happens when you're bored in school. Any how, here
we go...

"Are we gods or devils? All we do is destroy- we never create.
Surely we must be demons loosed upon this poor planet."
//Out of the mouth of babes,// Duo thought before he grinned and
remarked, "You can be what you wish, but I know that I am Shinigami,
the Great Destroyer, the beginning, the end, and all the things in
between. I am your worst nightmares and deepest fears. I am your
darkest secrets and hidden desires. I am-"
"Get to the point, Maxwell."
"Fine. Steal my thunder, why don't you? Just ruin my siloloquey, I
doesn't matter. Now you'll never know."
"Quatre let a sad smile cross his lips. The Chinese youth was
angrily
pulling his fine raven strands behind his ears. Duo had stolen the
elastic that had held it in a ponytail, and during the ensuing
fracas,
it had been ripped apart. Wufei had demanded justice, so Trowa,
peacemaker that he was, snapped apart the band that held the
American's chestnut waves together. Needless to say, Duo had been
furious, and probably would have killed the Latin pilot, had not
Quatre asked, with large puppy dog eyes, if enough people had already
died to suit Duo's tastes.
The Japanese teen stood apart, outside the ring of fire. It was a
small fire, so that the smoke would not attract unwanted attention,
and thus, three boys pressed close to the warmth and two stood apart,
detached and yet connected.
The scruffier of the two spoke. "Devils. All of us." He shifted
his
gaze from one pilot to the next before he turned and walked away into
the darkened woods.
