I walked out of my bedroom; I glanced down the hall at Heero’s door. Just as I felt a strong tap on my shoulder, I turned to see Duo’s big smiling face. “Hungry Relena?” he asked me. “Nah, I think I’ll be fine,” I replied. “Your loss,” he laughed as he marched off towards Heero’s door. “Uh Duo, I wouldn’t do that,” I warned. “What could go wrong,” he laughed, as he balanced the tray of donuts. He opened his door, and less than two seconds later, a plate with donuts came flying out the door. Along with a screaming Duo, he ran past me. “GET OUT WHILE YOU STILL CAN,” he screamed all the way down the stairs. Heero appeared at the door. I smiled at him, he smiled slightly. He stretched and began to walk downstairs. “Uh Heero, I am going shopping today, is there anything you want me to pick up?” I asked him. “That won’t be necessary, cause I will be with you,” He didn’t even glance at me. “Excuse me, I wont be needing your assistance Heero Yuy,” I put my hands on my hips. He turned, and with his powerful hand, grabbed my arm. “Yes miss peacecraft, I will, I am supposed to be guarding you, I will protect you.” I pulled my arm out of his hand, “so heero, am I just another mission?” I could feel my cheeks grow hot. He didn’t respond, instead he turned and headed down the stairs. I know he loves me, why won’t he admit it? “Can I help at all?” asked Quatre, who had heard everything from his room. “No, thanks anyway,” I smiled. * * * *

I walked into the mall, with Heero. Heero became very alert as a few OZ guards walked by, eyeing them suspiciously. “Something is not right Relena, we should leave,” He gave me a worried look. “Don’t worry hero, its nothing,” and I continued walking, so sure of myself. After I had drug him through every store possible, we decided to leave. We walked into the parking lot, and towards Heero’s car. We got in and he shut the door. “See I told you everything was going to b…..,” I got interrupted. “WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING?!?!” yelled someone from the parking lot. Both Heero and I glanced up to find a huge Leo suit towering over us. “Lets get out of here,” heero pressed the gas pedal to the floor, we flew out of the parking lot, and zoomed off. I turned to see the suit on our tail. “HURRY HEERO!” I screamed as I clutched his arm. Suddenly I could see a warehouse up the street, “There…” Heero spoke as he pulled off the road and into the ditch. He pulled me out of the car, and we ran towards the huge building. It was so huge, and dark, I only noticed a little shine come from the corner, where the light hit the wall. Heero turned to me, “Relena promise me you wont leave this warehouse, no matter what happens,” His eyes met mine. “Yes heero I promise,” he smiled at my reply, and then he turned. “I swear I will protect you,” he ran off towards where I seen the glimmer of light. I jumped a little when the huge garage door of the warehouse began to lift, the sunlight poured into the dark, that’s when I seen it, a gundam. The gundam walked outside, there waiting was about 30-40 Leo suits. I watched the fight begin; I was scared for myself, and for the well being of my love. I watched as Heero destroyed the Leo suits, I went to run to him, when up from behind him one last suit came flying at him. It struck him in the back, heero’s gundam flopped on its back, just as the last leo suit exploded. I ran towards the fallen gundam, there lying beside the gundam, was heero.

I fell by his side, “Heero are you okay?” He opened his eyes, and shook his head. I took him in my arms, “I am so sorry, its all my fault, if only I had listened to you, I am the one who should be….” He put a finger to my lips. “Don’t relena, I chose to protect you, and I did,” I held him in my arms. He rested his head against my chest. “Its cause relena… its cause… I love you,” he looked up and smiled at me. “Oh heero.” I could feel tears overflow and run down my cheeks. “Goodbye my love,” he pulled me close to him, and he kissed my lips. He smiled at me peace now in his eyes. “Mission complete,” he closed his eyes. I held him close, as the life left his body, the bright sparkle that was once in his eyes, had faded. I cried even harder. “Oh heero, if I only knew.” I looked beside him, there on the ground lay his gun, I took it in my hands, as the cold metal touched my fingers, my life flashed before my eyes, I lifted the gun to my head, as I held heero’s hand, I whispered “Goodbye,” and pulled the trigger.
