Liz, Duo’s Long Lost Sister

Chapter 2: “YOU’RE WHO?

It was now the year A.C. 200 and Liz was now 21. She had dropped out of college a year ago to find Duo. To know if he could still be alive. “Oh, I saw him on T.V. five year ago when they said they were going to execute him for being a pilot of whatever that was. Darn it, why can’t I find anything on the net these days. ” said Liz as she was looking through a stack of missing people or people with false names documents. Liz looked everywhere for the past year She even traveled from colony to colony with money who knows where she found. But little did she know that her 20 year old brother was trying to live out a normal life with the other pilots and a few of the g-girls (Relena, Hilde, Dorothy, and Cathy) at a university in California.

“Psst, Duo.” whispered Hilde.

“What now baby?” said Duo eating a hamburger he secretly hid in his backpack during computer class.

“How many times do I have to tell you not to eat in here and calling me ‘baby’!” replied Hilde.

“Sorry. It‘s ‘no’ right?”

“Nevermind that, look at Relena over there.”

“So what about her?” asked Duo.

“Lately she‘s been out of it. What I mean is every time she sees Heero she goes the other way or if you mention his name she pretends she‘s deaf. Do you think he told her something cruel?”

“Nah, I just saw her put away a test paper away. She‘s probably been getting bad grades this week. But Heero I have no idea if he‘s even talked to her at all. ”

“MISS HILDE and MR. MAXWELL would you like to be treated like 13 year olds and tell the class just exactly what you two are talking about? HMM?” asked Mr. Cho.

“Umm... No, teach that’s ok Hilde was helping me how to copy and paste this.” replied Duo.

“And Mr. Maxwell give me that hamburger, how many times must I tell you not to bring food or drinks in the lab?” asked Mr. Cho.

“Umm...I think it‘s been about 10 times now. ” said Duo.

“Maxwell you dope shada-up!” whispered Wufei.

“That‘s it Maxwell out now!!! Just go and don‘t come back...”

“ Now ya hear!!” said Duo.

“OUT!!!” screamed Mr. Cho.

“I‘m going, I‘m going.”

Two days later Liz decided to enroll back into college for one last chance. (Little did she know also that Duo would be in the same school. Keep Reading) She had partly given up her search for Duo but she wanted to become a lawyer. As she was running down the flight of stairs she didn’t notice Relena, Hilde, Duo, and Heero standing close by and knocked over Relena.

“Oh my God, I‘m so sorry. Please forgive me I was late for lunch.” said Liz nervously.

“That‘s alright umm... what‘s your name?” asked Relena politely as Heero being a gentleman helped Relena get on her feet.

“Oh my name is Liz. What‘s yours?” replied Liz. Suddenly she felt a vibe and saw the long haired boy.

“I‘m Relena Dorlain, This is Hilde Sheibeiker and that‘s Heero Yuy and that‘s....” Relena was cut off when Duo butted in the conversation.

“L..L..Liz. Is that you sis?” asked Duo curiously.

“SIS?!?!?!?” exclaimed the two girls and Heero who looked confused.

“Yea it is, Duo it is you!!!” she yelled as she ran up to give Duo a hug.

“I thought you might have died or something.” said Duo.

“So did I but you’re not.” she said cheerfully.

“Umm sorry to break this wonderful moment of brother and sister being reunited but can we go eat the others are saving a table for us outside.” Said Heero monotonously.

“Heero!” said Relena with a look of ‘O mao o korso if you don’t shut-up’ on it.”

“Umm yea sure.” said Duo, “Hey Liz come with us I‘m starving.”

“You just ate a snack before class.” Hilde stated.

(authors note*In this story Duo and Hilde are gf and bf so is Heero/Relena, Quatre/ Dorothy, but not Catherine and Trowa they are bro and sis)

As the five went outside were the rest of the gang found a spot under the shade. They all looked with an eye of suspicion at the girl that was accompanying the other four. They all thought at that moment that she kind of reminded them about someone only she had short hair to her shoulders and had messy bangs.

“So who‘s this?” asked Wufei offensively.

“Don‘t say it that way man. Have a little respect for women Wu-man.” said Duo.

“So who‘s this?” asked Wufei again this time with a hint of little respect.

“My name is Liz and I‘m Duo‘s sister.” she said cheerfully.

“Oh hi Liz I didn‘t know you were Duo‘s Sister. Duo why didn‘t you tell us you had a Si...” said Quatre cooly until he heard the word sister and just stared.

“Ok Duo who is she really and how much did you pay her to act?” asked Trowa.

“No act dude. She really is my sister we just met inside the building.” he frantically replied at the way people were acting.

“Excuse the way they‘re behaving Liz .” Said Dorothy, “It’s nice to meet you, my name is Dorothy Catelonia, this is Quatre Winner, that’s Trowa Barton and his sister Catherine Bloom, and that is Mr Rude Wufei Chang.”

“ONNA!! How dare you. You will feel the wrath of the Chang clan.” Wufei said ready to strangle her.

“And whut Wufei? ” Said Dorothy waving a hand in the air. “Any who, Duo, how can you just meet your sister in the building and act so calm.”

“Dunno, It‘s a guy thing.” He said cheerfully.

As the nine sat in a circle with Liz they couldn’t help (even Duo) ask who she was (background info), how long they haven’t seen each other, and what she’s been doing since her last encounter with Mr. Shinigami.

“How long has it been since either of you haven’t seen each other?” Asked Catherine.

“Well to tell you the truth we‘ve met before. What I mean is that after being separated we bumped into each other 5 years later outside an Art store. But there was a sudden explosion and so we went our separate ways. After that I think it’s been about twelve years. ” Replied Liz.

“So Duo what did you do after that explosion?” Asked Quatre.

“Umm...I don‘t really want t talk about that incident.” Duo coldly replied.

“Come on Duo tell us?” Said Hilde with a sweet tone in her voice.

“Fine! After that explosion and Liz and I went different directions I went back to the orphanage that I was at because I heard that the explosion was set off there.”

“So what happened after?” Asked Liz.

“So...when I got there more than half the kids there were dead and all the care takers were dead also. So that‘s when I took the name Maxwell from the Priest in memory of him and Professor G. took me in to be a pilot.” Replied Duo.

“What about you Liz, what happened after the explosion?” Asked Quatre.

“Well I ran back to my orphanage and nothing happened. No soldier came near us. So after the explosion the Sisters and maybe some other people transferred all the girls to different academies for girls with financial problems to insure our safety. From then on I could live a normal life which I know some of you may not have. Right?” replied Liz.

“Yea.” Said all 9 people sadly.

“But now we do.” stated Heero.

“Yea but that was before high school though. I sort of started to look for Duo cuz to what I can remember, they showed him on TV so I knew that he was still alive until I heard that they were going to execute him.” Said Liz.

“Oh I remember that time clearly.” said Trowa, “Very clearly but he did escape.”

“Yea well what do you expect, ‘me or the machine‘.” Replied Duo casually.

“Well why am I not surprised.” Said Wufei, “Maxwell, you’re only last flesh and blood has been looking for you and even on free time. You on the other hand have only cared about what’s for lunch.”

“Shame shame we know your name.” Teased Relena and Hilde.

“Aww shut-up. Look what you two made me do. I...”

“Went tinkle in my pants!!” said Heero finishing Duo’s sentence.

Everyone at that time started to Laugh they couldn’t help it, except for Duo who was cleaning his new shoes on the count of he dropped ketchup all over it. But after everyone finished laughing they realized that Heero “The Perfect, Heart-colded, O mao O Korsou, Soldier” had said something funny.

“Are you okay Heero?” asked Relena touching his forehead.

“Yea I‘m okay.” He replied giving his death glare to everyone.

“Yep he‘s okay.” teased Hilde.

“What do you mean if ‘he‘s okay‘?” Asked Liz.

“Well you don‘t now Heero well, he‘s usually silent and serious these are rare times that he says or does something funny.” exclaimed Relena.

“Oh okay.”

“Actually remember last week when we were invited to Zech‘s party and we pushed him into singing ‘Oh When the saints Go marching in’ while he was drunk.” Said Duo getting revenge of what Heero said before.

“I don‘t remember that.” Said Heero.

“Cuz you were drunk you fool and then you passed out when you were walking down the stairs. We‘ll show you and Liz the tape cuz we filmed all of it especially the fall.”

“Yea and my brother was really mad at all of you especially you Heero for ruining his party.” said Relena, “Well we better get back to class. Let‘s go to Quatre‘s and see the tape.”

As the rest of the day went by after lunch the group of now ten left to go to Quatre’s house to watch the tape of Heero singing “Oh When the Saints Go Marching In” and being drunk as a hobo.

After they saw the tape and saw how ridiculous and weird it is to see Heero act so stupid in front of people without even knowing it they ordered a pizza and started back again with the questions.

“Hey Duo,” said Trowa, “Your names not Maxwell, so then what is your last name?”

“Gee I don‘t know really. Why are you all staring at me? Hey I was only 3, how the heck am I supposed to know at that age what my last name really is. Sheesh!”

“Okay then, Liz, tell Duo what his real name is then?”

“Umm... to tell you the truth I‘m not sure if I should tell him.”

“O come on sis just tell me what it is. It‘s not that bad I hope. Sides I‘ll keep the name Maxwell it suits me very well.”

“Okay then.” said Liz as she started to chuckle in amusement.

“What‘s so funny?” said Heero looking confused yet emotionless.

“Well I‘ll never understand why mom and dad ever named you Duo. Why Duo it beats me plus Liz makes a very good name.”

“Hey! What‘s that supposed to mean!”

“I mean does Duo ‘Taylor’ make any sense to you guys? I think mom and dad must‘ve been on something” *chuckle chuckle*

Liz started to laugh uncontrollably as poor Duo just kept on mumbling “T...T...Taylor”

“Yes, Duo, your name is Taylor!” said Liz who started to control her laughter after looking at Duo.

As one hour went by, the gang started up again with the questions that were just thrown like knives to poor Liz. Liz had suddenly been asked about their parents and if they were still alive. This touched Liz’s heart and mind deeply. Everyone would soon learn the story and history of Duo and Liz’s parents.

Author's Note*All Gundam Wing related characters don't I repeat Don't belong to me. I Own the Taylor's except for Duo, I also don't own the rest of the cast of Gundam Wing.
