Disclaimer: I don't own Gundam Wing. If I did, you wouldn't be reading this story, you'd be seeing it on the series or maybe even a full length movie. Hmm...anyway, I hope you enjoy it. I would greatly appreciate feedback since this is the first fan fiction that I've written. No flames. Thanks! Send emails to Arys_Walker@gundamwing.org.

Nari and Inazuma
Chapter One
By Aryn
Earth: The New Sanc Kingdom
AC 198
The pole dipped into the dark waters and pushed the small, wooden boat forward. The five occupants of the boat huddled closer, their excitement growing. All they wanted was peace from the war that raged around them. The Sanc Kingdom had retained their peaceful reputation in the midst of the carnage, but were now closed bordered due to the flood of people that would no doubt enter the land. There was a few who smuggled people into the Sanc Kingdom, and now here were five people trusting the handful of those who did the smuggling. The boat slid softly onto the sandy beach. The cloaked figure that served as their boatsman, jumped into the water and pushed the boat further up the beach. The five occupants, a father, mother, uncle and two children climbed out of the boat and onto the sand of the promised land.
"Welcome to the New Sanc Kingdom." A young, feminine voice greeted them. A young woman stepped into the light of a lantern that was held by the boatsman.
"Thank you." said the father, as he turned to face their saviors. The woman who had greeted them was tall and slim with bright blond hair and electric blue eyes. She had high cheekbones and very noble features. The other woman was smaller, but just as frail, with short black hair and pale blue eyes, with very delicate features. A small trickle of fear crept into the father. These women were slightly too perfect in appearance.
"My name is Inazuma." the blond said, "And this is Nari." she pointed to the raven-haired woman.
"I'm Collin," the man introduced, "This is my wife Mary, my brother Sean and these are my children Irene and Colleen."
Inazuma smiled sweetly and addressed the father. "Thank you Collin." she said. "Now I know what names to write down on my coroner’s report."
The fear that had started out as a trickle turned into a raging river. Inazuma drew a large broadsword from her cloak. The dull gray of the blade seemed to absorb the light that was shed by the lantern.
Nari stood silently, stoically holding the lantern as it swung on the pole. She had witnessed many murders such as this and had turned her emotions off the best she could. But no matter how hard she tried, there was no way she could completely turn off her humanity. She just hoped she never took on Inazuma's pleasure in killing.
Once the deed was done, Inazuma cleaned off her sword and replaced it in the folds of her cloak.
"You should really get in on the fun sometimes, Nari."
"The MacGregors." Nari said, calmly regarding the carnage.
"Who?"
"That was their last name." Nari explained. "MacGregor."
"Nari, when are you going to grow out of your sentimentality?" Inazuma said, shrugging helplessly and smiling wickedly. "We are gods, we have no more need of emotions."
Nari remained fixed on the bodies on the sand as Inazuma walked away.
"What kind of gods have no emotion?" she asked to the wind. The dead bodies of the MacGregor family gave her the answer.

Zechs Merquise paced in front of the large window of the meeting room in the rebuilt Peacecraft Palace. He didn't think that running a pacifist country for his absent, diplomatic sister could pose so many problems. This had been the fourth day that bodies were found on the shores outside of the Palace. Only this time, there were two children. That disturbed him more than anything. Anyone that would kill harmless children deserved to be brought in front of a firing squad, pacifist country or not.
Noin regarded her husband in quiet worry. She felt the same strain he did, and longed for a solution to this problem just as much. But to see him torture himself like this added to the pang of hurt she already felt in her chest.
The double oak doors opened and Zechs stopped his pacing and watched as the six young people walked through. Heero Yuy was in the lead, followed by Arys Walker. Duo Maxwell was on the other side of Heero, Quatre Winner and Trowa Barton walked side by side with Wufei Chang bringing up the rear. Noin noticed that since it had only been a few months since she had last seen them, they all seemed to have matured a little in that time. Zechs motioned for them all to take their respective seats around the table. In silence, they did so. Noin couldn't help but compare the scene before her to that of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table.
"Glad you made it." Zechs greeted.
"Yeah, so am I." Duo spoke up, "But, why couldn't we bring our Gundams?"
"I need you're investigation as well as hand to hand combat skills. There's no need for Gundams. I've been trying to keep a peaceful country and I have a feeling that giant mechs of war would tend to spoil that reputation." Zechs explained.
"What needs to be investigated?" Quatre spoke up.
Before Zechs could answer, the doors opened once again and two doctors came through, dressed in white lab coats.
"Good. You made it." Zechs greeted the two female doctors. "This is Doctor Braken and Doctor Hunt," he said motioning the blond-haired woman and then to a dark haired woman. Dr. Braken nodded her head towards the table and smiled politely. Dr. Hunt just regarded them with cool aloofness.
"Dr. Braken will explain why I called you here." Zechs said, taking his seat.
Braken pushed her wire-rimmed glasses up on her nose and regarded the file in her hand. "There have been multiple murders that have taken place in the Sanc Kingdom. Bodies have been found on the shores for the past four days now. The total number of casualties has been five men, three women, and now, as of this morning, two children."
"What's the cause of death?" Heero asked.
"It appears they were attacked and killed by a broadsword." Dr. Braken answered.
"Any evidence around the bodies?" Arys asked.
"Dr. Hunt deals mainly with the observation of the area where the bodies were found." Dr. Braken answered. But when she found her fellow doctor had briefly gone on a mental vacation, she quickly called her back to business. "Dr. Hunt?"
"Yes?" The dark haired doctor replied, startled.
"Any clues around the bodies?" Dr. Braken asked her.
"It appears that there was a small boat, most likely wooden, that was brought up on the sand every time. My guess would be that people are beginning to smuggle others into the Sanc Kingdom. Once they reach the shore, they are promptly killed and anything of value is taken." Dr. Hunt reported.
"And you couldn't do this by yourself?" Heero asked, folding his arms and regarding Zechs.
"I want this dealt with swiftly and quietly. If people find out about the murders, the whole Kingdom will go into an uproar. And without Relena here to calm the people down if that happens, we'll be dragged into these skirmishes as well." Zechs answered evenly.
"We want to split you all up into two groups." Noin spoke up. "Dr. Braken deals with the autopsies. Heero, Arys and Wufei, I want you to go with her and learn everything you can from her information. We need you to fight this person, and know how to fight them. Dr. Hunt will take Quatre, Trowa and Duo and will investigate the murder scenes and try to figure out who the murderer is."
"Any questions?" Zechs asked the group.Without waiting for a reply, he dismissed everyone. "Fine, let's get this over with and solved as soon as possible."
As everyone was getting ready to leave, Duo leaned over to Quatre and whispered, "I wonder if we could trade doctors with Heero."
Quatre didn't answer him at all, in fact he didn't even take notice to Duo's comment. He was too busy watching the dark-haired doctor.
"I see you don't want to trade." Duo said, smugly.

After the pilots had retired for the night, Inazuma and Nari walked out onto the beach, dressed in their dark clothing and ready for a night's work.
"Well, did you enjoy your day with your new friends, Nari?" Inazuma asked.
Nari didn't respond and kept on walking.
"You got the lively ones." Inazuma continued, "I've got the cold, deadly types."
"Do you think they'll figure it out?" Nari asked.
Inazuma laughed a short, mocking laugh. "You've got to be joking. Javin has this thing figured out to the letter. Those brats aren't going to figure out if the boogie-man exists."
"I don't know. They seem pretty smart to me."
"You know what I think?"
Nari looked over at her.
"I think the blond one likes you."
Nari returned her gaze to the sand beneath her feet.
"He sure was staring awfully hard." Inazuma continued.
"He couldn't figure me out." Nari said quietly.
"And don't let him." Inazuma warned, laying a hand on Nari's shoulder. "You're a cold blooded killer, Nari. I know you don't necessarily take part in the killing, but you are a part of it. And if that sweet, little blue eyed angel figures that out, it's you that I'm going to kill."
