Addicted to Love: Chapter 1
Relena laid across her king sized bed, still in her suit from her last meeting. She had just spent the last three hours with a bunch of grumpy old men, who
thought of her as the weak, little princess that she had started out to be.
But now it was all in the past. Relena had matured greatly over the past two years. She had long forgotten about Heero, or so she thought. Recently Relena had gone out with a number of men and greatly enjoyed their company. Milliardo had returned to the Cinq Kingdom, along with Noin as his wife, and his two year old son, Milliardo Jr., a.k.a. Twin (Milliardo and his son are identical). They all lived in the old Peacecraft Mansion.
Every now and then she would received a phone call Quatra, and Duo. Hilde and
herself had become great friends sense meeting on Peacemillion. They talked at least once a week. Life was perfect!
Beep beep beep, Relena video phone went off just as she was about to drift off to sleep."Hello," Relena said in her usual charming voice.
Duo Maxwell's happy face appeared on the screen, "Hey Jousan". Relena's face grew happier at the sight of Duo.
"Hello Duo, how have you been?"
"Great, have you heard from Heero lately?"
The happiness from Relena's face disappeared, Relena had tried to make a promise to herself not to think of .........him.
Relena took a deep breath and slowly answered Duo's question, "No Duo, I haven't seen Heero at all."
"Oh," Duo couldn't really think of anything to say. He saw the look on Relena's face, and the tone in her voice. He almost regretted what he was about to do.
He new that was thought she was living herself a regular life. But he could tell that she did miss him. After a few moments of quietness Relena finally broke the ice. "So Duo, what honors do I have of the great Shinigami calling me today," Relena said with a playful tone. Duo ear to ear grin got bigger, if that was possible.
"What .......oh yeah, Hilde and I are inviting everyone down here for a week or two. Just wondering of you could take some time out of your busy schedule and come down here and spend a few days with some old friends."
Relena smiled. She had to admit, she had been pretty busy. And despite everything that was going on in her life, she could use some quite time. And she knew that Milliardo and Noin could use some time to themselves.
"I greatly appreciate your invitation, and I gladly except."
"Cool, well I'll have Quatra send you all the information, and I'll hope to see you in a week."
Relena had a bewildered look on her face, "Quatra is going to help set this up
to?"
"Huh, oh yeah, we are having it at one of his mansions by one of the lakes. We are just going to meet up here and then take one of his jets over to the mansion. Are you still going to come? Cause if you didn't, a certain someone would be disappointed."
Relena looked at Duo, and smiled easily.
"Don't worry Duo, I'll be there. And you can tell Hilde not to get her hopes up. I will be there."
"Ok, I'll tell her." ‘If only new that Heero would be even more disappointed than Hilde.'
"Well I'll let you go Jousan, I have to go check on Hilde."
"Ok Duo, I'll see you two later." And with that Relena and Duo disconnected their phone call.

Duo got up from the chair and turned around to see Heero still staring at the screen that once had Relena's face on it.
"What's wrong buddy, you heard her, she said that she would be there", Duo said while looking at his dazed out friend.
Duo shook his head, "Oh, well I'm going to get something to eat, want something?"
" ......no", was Heero only word.
"Alright," Duo started to walk out of the room, "you can thank me later", Duo then turned his back and left.
Herro waited till he heard the refrigerator door open, then he decided it was safe to move. He made his way over to the video phone and sat down in the chair that once was occupied by Duo, and easily ran his finger along the screen.
".......Relena.........".

"Heero", Relena looked out of her baloney and fell to her knees crying. Milliardo was about to kiss his sister good night when he saw the scene. He felt his heart ack and knew that he couldn't do anything to help her at this time; but being the stubborn Peacecraft that he was, he proceed to his sister.
Relena felt a pair of strong arms in circle around her, she gaps, but then relaxed when she noticed the sent of a little mint. She knew who it was.
"Relena are you going to be ok", Milliardo said with a hint of concern in his
voice.
Relena stood up and wiped her tires away. This wasn't the first time that this kind of scene has happened. She would be getting ready for bed and she would look over at the teddy bear that Heero gave her. Then she would just lose it. She would brake down crying. Then a few moments later, Milliardo would walk in a comfort her.
Ah, she was use to it. And every time this happen she would always get her brother's attention; which she didn't mind that, but he didn't need to be there all the time. He had a wife and a son who needed him more than she did. It just wasn't far to them.
Relena smiled at her brother and turned to go back inside of her room, without saying a word. As she took her first step she slipped and fell onto the hard cement of her baloney. Milliardo acted quickly and grabbed Relena before she could hint the ground. He picked Relena up and carried her to her room and sat her down on her bed.
"Relena, you've been drinking again haven't you."
Relena couldn't look at his face. ‘He knows me to well' Relena slowly nodded her head, for she knew what was coming to her.
Milliardo shook his head, "Relena, you can't keep going on like this. You have to get over ‘him'. He's not here and he won't be. Do you know why Relena?"
Milliardo looked at his sister. She shook her head, she has heard this speech more than once, and to tell the truth she was getting tired of hearing it.
"Because he doesn't love you Relena! You've been doing so good. You've gone out with a number of worthy young men, who actually love you. They can provide you with so much more that Heero could never even think about! You are the Princess of the Cinq Kingdom, you have certain obligations to fulfill."
Relena was about to start crying, but she wouldn't. She had nothing else to cry about that was worth while. She knew that her brother was right. She couldn't be a selfish little princess, she had to make a lot of risk to protect her
people.
Milliardo hated to do this to his sister, but she had to realize the truth. She lost the only father she knew back when she was 15, and now Milliardo had tried to replaced him.
He wanted her to know that she was a Peacecraft and not a Dorlian. As a Peacecraft here was certain things that came with that title. He had not been that perfect example, but he did what he thought was right.
He was leading the Cinq Kingdom, and Relena was by his side the whole time. He loved her with all of his heart, and wanted the best for her. As far as he was
concerned Yuy couldn't provide that.
He had learned about her addiction about a year ago. He had done everything that he could think of. He was starting to run out of ideas.
"I'm sorry Milliardo", Relena quietly as she turned to get into her bed.
Milliardo bent down and kissed his sister on the forehead and walked out her room. Leaving a distressed Relena, and holding a grate dill of gilt on his shoulders.
