Hantu Pocong Encounter
Ahmad was driving back to his hometown to visit his parents in Perak. His wife was sitting beside him and was sound asleep. It was already late past midnight when they were on their way.
Their parents live in a kampung(village) situated in the rubber estates. It was very dark as they began to enter the estates as there were no lamp posts. Unlike the tar road they had travelled earlier, the road has become more narrow and there were mud all over as it just rained. It was really creepy to have all the rubber trees surrounding the road.
Suddenly, Ahmad stopped his car when he saw something trotting ahead. His wife was awaken by that sudden stopped and asked Ahmad why he stopped. Ahmad kept quiet and looked in front of their car. At about 100 metres away, there was this hantu pocong, literally 'wrapped ghost'. Hantu Pocong is a ghost wrapped by a white cloth around it's body, something like a mummy. It travels by hopping and each leap can measure to about 50 metres! So this hantu pocong was leaping across the road in front of them.
Ahmad remembered the fact about the hantu pocong that the ghost will not harm if there is no one in it's way. After the hantu pocong had leaped across the road, Ahmad drove closer to the ghost where the ghost was crossing the road just now(Which means the hantu pocong is now to the right side of their car). In front of the hantu pocong was a drilling construction site where there was a huge deep hole. Ahmad was curious about how the hantu pocong is going to cross the big hole. Will it turn to travel around the hole? Or just stop there? Or even jump into the deep hole?
The hantu pocong stopped when it reaches the hole. It waited for a few seconds, knowing that there was a hole in front of it. Ahmad and his wife watched the ghost carefully. To their amazement, the hantu pocong leaped across the hole in a single leap! That was about 80 to 100 metres in lenght!
