Friday, June 1

I've been living out of a suitcase now for 14 days

I don't know why you say good-bye
J.R. and I stopped in Ohio for a quick visit with my family and some of his friends on our way across the country; it was a nice break in the long-ass drive that is Boston to Seattle. Today we resumed the trek, and I'm blogging from La Crosse, Wis. Or is it Onalaska? One of those two. The point is, I'm in Wisconsin, people. The land of dairy. And I haven't even sampled the cheese curds yet. (And I probably won't, as we're on our way to South Dakota tomorrow.) It's all been kind of a blur. Mostly a good blur, except for this morning when I couldn't get a picture of the "Welcome to Indiana" sign. I tried not to be too cranky, but you know I was pissed as hell. Luckily, I got this awesome shot of the farewell from Ohio, which is just as well since Indiana is home to those who shall not be named.
