Wyndham-Price was sent to Sunnydale as the new Watcher after Giles was fired.
He never really fit in with Buffy and gang, who couldn't really accept him as
Giles' replacement. Wesley made some bad choices, especially involving
Faith: his botched arrest caused her to escape and wreak even more havoc upon
the lives of Buffy and gang.
Wesley was fired from the council after both of the slayers under his control
went off course. He stayed in Sunnydale to help fight the Mayor, then
left.
