Domenica Santolina Doone doesn't want to go to the international school in Switzerland. But it doesn't seem as if Dinnie has any choice, really. So, one day she is "kidnapped" by her aunt and uncle and has to leave her brother Crick, her sister Stella, and her parents to go to the strange new land of Lugano, Switzerland. She meets many interesting people such as Lila, the girl that believes that everyone at the school, except for the Americans, is rude and unkind. And Guthrie, a nice but strange boy. And, in the end, she must make, most likely, the most important decision of her life... An excellent book! I loved it and you will, too!
