Artemis Fowl is a book about a boy who has an evil plot to steal some fairy gold. The story starts out in Ho Chi Mihn City. Artemis and his butler are looking for a sprite. They find this sprite and get the key to completing their plan: The Book. The Book tells all about fairy history and rituals. Once Artemis translates the entire book, he develops a great plan to steal some of this gold. Also, in a fairy kingdom underground, there lives a Captain Holly Short of the LEPrecon Unit. When Holly goes out to perform a magic ritual to revive her magic, she is kidnapped by Artemis, who hopes to hold her for ransom. But the fairies won't give in so easily. These particular fairies are armed. This is a really interesting book. It is a good mix of fantasy, such as fairies, and reality, such as spies and criminals. A very good book.
