Ann Rinaldi
Ann Rinaldi was born in New York city. She always wanted to be a writer, but her father wouldn't allow it. After high school, she went into business as a secretary. After she married, she got a job as a columnist for several newspapers. Her first short story, Term Paper, was published as a book in 1979. Soon after, Ann discovered her love for historical fiction. She visited reenactments and researched. The product was Time Enough for Drums, a story about the American Revolution. Many books followed. Ann has written 18 books. Many of her books have received awards.

I read a few of her books. I haven't reviewed any yet, but check your local bookstore for some of her books.
