When you are considering a tattoo...ask yourself a few questions....
Why do you want a tattoo? Is it personal choice? Do you feel it will help you better express your personality? Do you have a passion for body art? Is it just something you've always wanted to do? These are all good answers. However...if you are considering it because of pressure from friends/significant others/classmates/etc.....stop and reconsider....remember that YOU WILL HAVE THIS DESIGN ON YOUR BODY FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!!!! When considering a tattoo, make sure that you are ABSOLUTELY SURE of it...the design, the placement, the size, etc...this is something that is permanent. Removal of tattoos can cost anywhere from $5,000 to $15,000!!
Where are you planning to have the tattoo placed?... Not many of us are lucky enough to work in an environment where we can have piercings wherever we want, tattoos wherever we want, blue hair or purple hair, or whatever other bold statement we desire to make.....a LOT of jobs out there require a corporate, conservative look....and these physical expressions are simply a no no in this kind of work environment....so when considering a tattoo, consider the placement of it....if you are not in a corporate job right now, consider that some day down the road you might be....how will that tattoo affect your ability to be hired? It is this reason that has swerved my decision to have my own tattoos in areas that are easily hidden....Keep into consideration that you might have to cover them up when it comes to conservative environments...
