Updated 5/11/03:

It has been a while since the last news post where we simply hinted, with one image, what was to come. Yes, thats right, we are outing ourselves.
Actually, that picture is one of many taken at a photo shoot around one month ago. Three photos from the shoot, taken by Elicia Varley, appear as the fron and inside covers of our new self titled demo/EP.

The EP was available as of 4/11/03, but will be officially released at the EP launch gig this friday the 7th of November at the Harp Hotel, Tempe.
The EP will set you back $10 unless you attend the launch where there will be a special price of $8. We hope to see as many of you there as possible.

In site news, I know I know, it's still looking relativly shitty. At the moment it's just a medium for band/public contact since we have officially stopped reading the guestbook posts.
However, behind the scenes the site is being worked on. You can access the site now by its new address www.vultureband.com

Our good friend Daniel Hodsen has been fixing domain matters up for us. We also have a new contact address, you can email the band at band@vultureband.com

As you all know, we have a new(ish) member who hasn't appeared live with vulture yet. Apparently his name is Andrew something or other and he is anal-retentive about some spelling issue or something, heres a statement he requested be posted on the site:

"For the record, Vulture's guitarist's name is Andrew James Thomas who is called Thommo by his close friends, notice the double M in ThoMMo and the silent H. Now on the EP he is refered to as 'Thomo' which is incorrect, so any fans who were wondering excuse the mistake, his name is Andrew. Thankyou and enjoy the EP :)"
If it humours any of you, he typed that himself. And I hope that does clear a few things up for 'the fans who were wondering' :)

Updated 8/10/03: Well, the band have now done their bit for the demo/e.p. whatever the fuck you wanna call it. Now its up to captain Pat to sail the ship safely to the magical island with the lost treasure burried on it and make us sound good.

That leads me to the next piece of news. Im sure you have all heard of Sutherland Shire radio, I mean, if you havn't, you have probably been living under a rock your whole life. Sutherland shire radio (99.7fm) is easily the most rock'n radio station in the world. Why? Because myself and Sam are doing a 5 minute interview on the air between 5pm and 6pm this monday (13th of October).
I know all of you will be tuned in for that one!
The interview coincidently was conducted by the super super cool DJ's Matt BEEcroft (occasional Vulture Manager) and Greaser (former Vulture live guitarist). With these two fellas asking the big questions, who could resist tuning in for 5 mins?

AND remember - 7th of November - Harp Hotel - Tempe. Sorry for all you youngens, we will put on a show for you pretty soon and flog off the recording and all that.

Updated 4/10/03: Greetings from 'Rainman Sound Studio'.

Thommo and myself (Tim) are currently recording the Drums, Bass and Guitar for our upcomming E.P.

So far we have drank a lot of pepsi and eaten some pizza. We also managed to get a fair few songs done. Captain Pat our producer, sound engineer, fatherly advice giver and occasional mother to us, and thommo are in the middle of recording 'undercut' as I type this news entry.

Captain pat sheds a little light on his role of the recording process:

"I press buttons, make the music thingy work, then like hammer the keyboard a bit and sounds come out.
- The Fine Art to Recording by Captain Pat"

In other Vulture news, we have a gig comming up at the Harp hotel at Tempe, on the 7th of November. All you over 18's and fake I.D. holders PLEASE COME ALONG.

Updated 21/9/03: Hi everyone. Vulture have done a whole lot of rehearsing of late, and together with new guitarist Andrew Thommas, a whole bunch of new material has been written. As much as we want to show this to you, we must complete our demo before we play any more shows... and we expect to begin recording next saturday.

In other less important news, a good snapshot of Tim and Sam, taken by Ryan, was the winner of a Marilyn Manson competition run by Utopia record store. Check out www.utopia.com.au to see the picture.
Sam and Tim got to hang with the band members (no this wasn't the utopia prize, we scored passes from the Mansons), and managed to get some cool photos. As soon as they are all developed they will be posted here, but for now, here's a shot of Tim jamming on Ginger's kit under his guidance.

Website should be up pretty soon, as soon as we have finished being lazy about it.
