Devidramon Episodes
Digimon Adventure Episode 26, "Sora's Crest of Love":
Tamed or perhaps enlisted for Myotismon's services, Devidramon makes his first as an underling to the vampire Digimon. In "Sora's Crest of Love" we are able to get a brief glimpse of the demonic dragon pulling Myotismon's flying carriage. After Myotismon's coffin drops out of the carriage Devidramon flies away, and is not seen again in this episode.
The Digidestined enter Myotismon's castle, but find the Devidramon still standing guard. Learning from their past mistakes, the Digidestined decide not to take the Devidramon head on. Instead they send MegaKabuterimon in to distract the demon dragons while they slip past them quickly. MegaKabuterimon managed to hold the Devidramon off just long enough for the children and their partners to slip past, but was then over powered and reduced to his in-training form. However the battle with the Devidramon was so intense that it fixed the dimensions in the castle, causing everything to be on the same plan.
Digimon Adventure Episode 27, "Gateway to Home":
After a nearly disastrous battle against the vampire Lord Myotismon, Gennai, the Digidestined's mentor, contacts Koushiro Izumi through his computer and informs them of some shocking news. Gennai explains to them that there is another Digidestined waiting in the real world, and that this child's life is in grave danger. The Digidestined learn that Myotismon is also aware of the last Chosen Child, and that he is seeking a way to enter the real world in hopes of destroying the child.
The Digidestined devise a plan to sneak into Myotismon's castle and stop him from entering the real world. Palmon and Agumon, disguised as renegade soldiers, enter the castle and enlist with DemiDevimon's pathetic recruits. Namomon begins putting the two rookies, along with the other recruits, through brutal training. Soon a Numemon grows weary of the training and persuades Palmonn and Agumon to help him put an end to Namomon's power trip. The three Digimon sneak away from the recruits and into a near by tower. The tower turns out to be a sort of wine cellar. Numemon, Palmon, and Agumon send the bottles down to Namomon with little parachutes, Namomon then begins to consume the wine and quickly gets drunk, allowing the recruits to escape and the Digidestined and their Digimon partners to enter the castle.
It should be noted that in the dub version it was soda, not wine, that Namomon drinks, and that apparently the soda makes him light headed and happy.
Now we shift to Myotismon who is alone in his dark library studying the secrets to the gate. DemiDevimon comes in and informs Myotismon that his recruits are ready. Myotismon questions the rookie on whether or not the recruits are worthy of him, and DemiDevimon states his full confidence in his recruits. However, DemiDevimon's confidence is not shared with everyone as Gatomon so sadistically points out. The feline Digimon enters the study and explains just how worthless DemiDevimon's recruits are. DemiDevimon gets offended, but before he could make a come back Myotismon interrupts and questions Gatomon on her own mission. Gatomon explains that she found the most ruthless Digimon and Myotismon seems pleased. The minions are then dismissed and Myotismon heads to the basement of the castle where the gate lies waiting.
The Digidestined enter Myotismon's castle then split up in order to cover more ground, but their plan is futile as they soon find themselves running in circles. The castle's dimensions are out of whack, causing many things to be on different plans, which makes it very difficult for the Chosen to operate. Soon they reunite and follow a large line of marching Digimon who lead them to the gate, where they find Myotismon.
Myotismon uses a spell along with the key cards to open the gate to the real world, after which his army begins to march through. The Digidestined see this hopeless situation and quickly rush out of the shadows and towards the evil digimon, ordering them to stop. Myotismon looks up with disinterest and causally ask the Digidestined if they work for him, then he explains that he's busy, before leaving the matter to his minions. DemiDevimon calls his weak recruits to come and stop the Digidestined, but once the Digidestined's partner's digivolve to their rookie levels the recruits cowardly retreat. Now with nothing stopping them the Digidestined head towards the gate, but their victory is short lived as a mischievous voice calls out "You haven't dealt with me yet!". Suddenly Gatomon appears, and single handily takes down several of the Digidestined's champion digimon. A few of the champions slip past her and this is when she raises her golden tail ring and summons the Guardian of the Gate.
They appeared as lifeless, common statues, but through the power of Gatomon's tail ring Devidramon awakens. Through dusted gray stone crimson eyes come to life and a demonic body reanimates. As the Digidestined strive to get to the gate, the demon dragons dive from their pillars and block the way. Once summoned Gatomon explains that Devidramon is the guardians of the gate and that if you look into its eyes you'll be hypnotized. It doesn't take long for Devidramon's presence to be known. The powerful dragons instantly begin an assault upon the champion Digimon. The force of Devidramon are so powerful that Greymon has to digivolve to MetalGreymon just to combat with them. The Devidramon show their strength with their sharp claws, whip like tails, and hypnotic powers. They allow the rest of Myotismon's army to enter the real world. Now only Gatomon and Demidevimon remain. Demidevimon quickly enters the gate, but Gatomon stays for a moment, to make certain that no one follows her in. The fierce battle with the Devidramon eventually takes its toll and MetalGreymon dedigivolve back to his in-training form. Once the gate begins to shut Gatomon roughly knocks Patamon down then walks through the gate telling the Digidestined that she'll miss them in Japan. Now with the gate shut the Digidestined have no other option but to retreat.
Digimon Adventure Episode 28, "It's all in the Cards":
Upon their defeat Gennai instructs the Digidestined to come to his home. Once secure in Gennai's home, which is located at the bottom of a lack Gennai feeds the Digidestined and explains the necessity of getting to the real world. The Digidestined spend the night in the Digital Guardian's home, and Koushiro stays up late to discuss some mysteries of the Digital World and the creatures within. Gennai explains to Koushiro that all digimon have attributes, which cannot be changed. He explains that attributes are their attacks, their families, and their classification (i.e. data, virus, and vaccine). In the morning the Digidestined eat breakfast and Gennai gives them the Key Cards to the gate. He explains that their are many different dimensions and that if for some reason the key cards are not arranged in the correct order that they will end up in the wrong dimension. After learning as much as they can from Gennai about the key cards the Digidestined, once again, head off to Myotismon's castle.
Ultimately the Chosen manage to secure the gate and place the key cards in the correct order. They enter the gate and we have the beginning of the Eighth Child saga.
Devidramon does not appear again in Digimon Adventure, but it is certain that they left their mark upon the Digidestined and their partners. Many mysteries, including who chose the Devidramon as the guardians of the gate will never be solved, but one thing is for certain, these demonic creature are true minions of evil.
Digimon Zero Two Episode 21, "The Crest of Kindness":
Without an energy source the Digimon Kaiser's floating base begins to drop. Magnamon proves to be a powerful foe, and is able to combat with Kimeramon's power. Seeing his end draw near the Digimon Kaiser, along with Wormmon, rush to a waiting Devidramon, who carries them off of the crashing base. Once again we see Devidramon's attitude of servitude. As far as I could tell there was no black ring or spiral upon Devidramon, however, I could be mistaken about that. It would not surprise me if Devidramon was a willing servant of the Digimon Kaiser since he appears to only be interested in advancing the darkness' power. In the "Crest of Kindness" Devidramon acts as the escape pod for the Digimon Kaiser, Who drives him with reins, much like Myotismon in Digimon Adventure. When Wormmon, the Digimon Kaiser's, partner realizes that Magnamon might not have enough strength to defeat Kimeramon he pushes the Digimon Kaiser off of Devidramon and drives the dragon Digimon into Kimeramon. The rookie then gives up the last of his life force to Mangamon in order to stop Kimeramon and save the Digimon Kaiser. After Kimeramon is destroyed Devidramon is seen flying off into the distance, and that is the last we see of the demon dragon in Zero Two.
Devidramon's roles may have seemed small, however, the power it displays is anything but trivial. Devidramon has proofed to be a worthy foe to the forces of light and a valuable minion of the powers of darkness.
