1. is anime a cartoon?? | |||
| ......NO......anime and cartoons are very VERY diffrent. anime or japanime(as it is somtimes called) is an art form(well I think it is any way). cartoons are more of a lose drawing ment onely to get the message across that some cat is hitting a mouse with a hammer. not that sometimes I think thats funny... Another difference is that anime is really ment for an older age(13 and up) than cartoons(1 to 12). still some anime is the younger ages like Yu-Gi-Oh or Pokemon/Digimon. and of course my favorite diff. is that anime is good. and cartoons are bad...SO THERE!!! yet another diff. is the style (witch is noticable..duh!) as seen in the pics below:

2. whats up with the huge eyes?!?! | |||
| by huge eyes you probley refuring to the big female eyes witch most anime wemon have. there are several resons for this. for one big eyes make the character cute, and young looking. another reson is that big eyes alow for a wide rang of emotion to be displayed through the eyes. although most anime female have big eye there are anime females with a narrow type eyes. these characters are usally more serious or mean than the big eyed types. the narrow eye is used more in animes that have to deal with a serious issues such as death or god...the death of god.ect. if you have ever whatched Dragon Ball Z you might notice that goku has big eyes... however when he is mad or starts fighting he gets narrow eyes. this is beacuse is in a serious mood. another great example of this is in Yu-Gi-Oh. this kind of "changing eye" is not very common among anime/manga, but effective. the change talked about below is shown here in this example:

3. what about those big heads??? |
| ...ok. big heads are used in anime to make the character look cute... big heads usually mean the character is meant to be young/beautifull. using a smaller type head is meant for more serious anime, like "Perfect Blue" or "Witch Hunter Robin" one of the bigest head you should see is the chibi type. this type is usually used for kids(not babys, i dont know why) 
when chibi is used for kids the hole body size is usually 2 heads tall to 4 heads tall notice that there heads are the same size?: 
chibi type heads can also be used in an anime scene as a type of very funny additude. for instance if you wanted the character to be angery but you want the people to laugh when they see it:

4. and there funky hair? |
| anime hair is one of the keys to anime. if they didnt have cool hair it wouldent be the same. originally strange hair types were used so that the veiwer could easaly tell characters apart. to do this they used not onely differnt hair sytles but also colors that arent possable in the real world(without dies) soon the hair style became a part of anime. anime hair styles dont have to obay the laws of garvity. and thus gives them lift and curves. below are some examples of anime hair:     HA-RAYY FOR ANIME HAIR!!!!!!! click here to go to the section selection area agian |
5. they have really high piched voice | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| there are a couple of resons for this. such as the fact that a high piched voice makes the character sound younger. you wouldent want a young boy of 15 sounding like some-one three times his age would you? another reson for the high piched voices is thst in japan, a high voice is considerd to be cute and very attractive. this sort of voice is wide spred among anime, but for the most part is confind to anime that is derected tword anime that is for the genral public. some anime that is derectid tword more mature adiances, this anime use more realalistic voices(usualy). here are some exaples of what im talking about:

6. wait!!..theres somthing missing?!?!? | |||||
| this section was mad beacuse i have heard some people wondering why some anime/hentai pics dont have all the right parts to them (like missing penises or vaginas..even missing nipples!!!) this is beacuse of one of five resons(or maybe beacuse all of them)

7. what is Anime/Japanime |
| anime/japanime has really two meanings. each one used in difernt context. th first one we will cover is the "type" usage. anime/japanime can be used as a genral term to say that something is done in an anime stylesuch as: "whats that new show like? - its an anime with monsters." or "theres this new anime on tv" the next usage is the spesific type. although japanime is usually used onley in the above type, is very rarley used in the folowing usage. ( i probley just confuzzed you but ill keep typing anyway) this next type is used to decribe anime as video(not a manga[comic] or picture) so.... if its a vidio its anime.....OK?!?!? click here to go to the section selection area agian |
8. what is Manga |
| manga ("m-a-ng-a" or "mong-a") is basicly a comic done in anime sytle. -on a side note that almost hert to type that about anime/manga- anyway, anime and manga are different anime in its genral term is a movie or show. manga as stated above is on paper. it can be black and white or color(duh!!) heres an example of manga:

9. what is Doujinshi |
| doujinshi (doo-jein-shee) is manga of a already illustared character that was draw by someone who isnt one of the actual people who drew the character. get it?.... if it is a pic then it is some times called fanart... (back to the point) doujinshi can be can be ether hentai or non-hentai. 10. what is Hentai? |
| hentai(hen-t-i) means pervert in japanese. but it is used now to describ the anime/manga/whatever as having nudity or anime sex involed there are several types of hentai: straight - male female sex yaoi - male male sex yuri - female female sex furry/furr - anime men/wemon with animal like furr tenticals - involving monsters that have wondering tenticals.....ill leave it at that beast - involving monsters that have a tast for people....you know what I mean! click here to go to the section selection area agian |
11. what is a otaku |
| otaku (o-tak-uu) means "fan" in japanese, however it it used to describe someone who has a great love, knowledge, and soul for anime. now dont go off telling every one you know that like anime an otaku. otakus are very adimate about this. to be an otaku you must fisrt pass there trials of anime.... just kidding...... but you do have to be knowlegable in all that is anime... just ask any reall otaku!!! click here to go to the section selection area agian |
12. what is Cosplay? |

14. why is anime cost soo "much" $$$ |
| anime in the begining wasent that much(in japan) anime was cheap beacuse the directers alway had to cut costs and save as much $$$ as posible now a-days, there are still some cheap movies out there(in japan) but they are not drawn very good anime has becom more popular so the demand for better anime has reson. so now company buget more money as a result anime has gotten better animation.... now, usual hentai is has low buget but with the rising supply of horney men that buget will rise too.... now then... on top of the cost to make an anime, you have mass making costs, promotion cost, english/other voice acters cost, english promotion cost, english mouth change cost, and finaly the cost to bring it over to america/where-ever. so you can see how quikly the cost for a simple anime can cost....example you say?... well you dont get one!!!.... just kidding: i was looking at a movie that cost 50 bucks here in america.. the same movie sold for about 20 dollers in japan...damnit!! click here to go to the section selection area agian |
