Life
Life, it ain't easy.
Why? because I was given a tough one.
Daily I try to do right by you,
And daily I fail.
I can't please you,
And you will never be TRULY proud of me.
I ask for little,
And I receive less.
You were never happy with me,
Even though I gave you my best.
You told me you cared about me,
But I saw through that.
I knew this was coming,
So why does it hurt so bad?
You wanted nothing to do with me,
And that was the choice you made.
But now you ask about me,
Do you have to cause me more pain?
At first I was angry.
I just wanted to settle the score.
But what's going through your head?
I don't know what I want anymore.
In place of love in me,
It's something else that brews.
A hatred for everything,
Everything else but you.
A deeper hatred I now have,
For all of the world and its views.
This is what you've done.
Although it's not suicide,
It's a different kind of death.
I am now dead inside.
Pain
Look at what you have done,
I am no longer who I was.
The old me is gone,
And this is what pain does.
It breaks and changes you,
But one can take only so much pain.
And as for me, I'm one of few,
Where each cut is closer to their vein.
One can get used to pain,
Which is what you give the best.
So you I thank for what I have gained,
I am immune, pain is no longer a pest.
My idea things about life.
- We are all born cold, wet, and hungry. Then things get worse.
- Nobody dies a virgin. Life screws us all.
- Roses are red, violets are blue, I'm schizophrenic, and so am I.
