This episode starts out with GIR running around, then going down to the lab where he strips out of his dog costume and screams that he's naked. Zim tells GIR that he needs quiet to upgrade his guidence chip. GIR finally calms down after running into a wall. He explains that with that chip, there is no situation that he cannot guide them out of. He opens GIR's head and there's a behive in there. Zim freaks out and throws in a tube that sucks it away. Zim tells GIR that he has the finest in geographic location, but he needs to work on his behavier a bit. Zim tests it out, giving him basic questions, like the skool, Planet Blorch, and Planet Irk. GIR is flawless. He tells GIR that they are going to the city to get as lost as they can. He tells him to put his disquise back on, but Zim has made himself an even more clever disquise. Zim walks out of the house dressed as an old man. He tells GIR to be alert, that on Earth they are surrounded by danger and madness (GIR likes madness.)
Zim and GIR walk around the city, until Zim sees a little chiwawa, screams madness, and runs. Zim said he's had enough of the stink people things, and wants GIR to turn on his chip and guide their way back home. GIR points at where he pointed for Irk, and Zim laughs it off, saying the home base on earth. GIR points at the ground, meaning they are on earth. Zim finally yells at him that he's talking about the house. He tells him that there is no way he can't not know, he just upgraded his guidance system. GIR tells Zim that he left it at home to make room for the cupcake. GIR gobbles up the cupcake. (I'd like to pause right now and say that GIR has got to be the coolest character!) Zim yells at him, and after a while, GIR starts crying. Zim said that he knows that GIR understands the mistake he made, and said that he can uses in invader skills to find a way to get home, and rumages around in a trashcan. GIR says that he misses the cupcake. Zim comes out with peices of scrap metal and says that he will fashion a compass, but the compass just get magnitized to GIR. GIR asked Zim if they could use the information humans, but Zim said he would not stoop as low to ask the humans for help. A bus pulls up past a bus stop, and backs up. GIR reads the writing on the bus: "What about the bus?" aloud and Zim told GIR that was an excilent idea. Zim and GIR sit down in the front seat, and the driver asked where they thought they were going. Zim told her that they were going home, and to mind her business (bus slave). She told them that they weren't going anywhere without fare. Zim yells at her and she threw them out. He yelled that he would use the power of the sun to find his way, and he started staring at the sun. After awhile, his eyes start to bubble and blacken up, and he runs around screaming he was blind, and that they booby-trapped the sun somehow. He sits down and tells GIR he would just wait till the skin grew back on his eyeballs.
It is now night time and Zim yells that he can now see, and that they can now escape that filthy place. A man walks by Zim and yells at Zim to get a job, calling him a bum. Zim gets the idea that they can make some money, and with that money, they could ride the bus.
GIR and Zim are at the city park, where everyone is doing performances for money or food. GIR and Zim are dancing around. At that moment, an old man who looked exactly like the way Zim was dressed walked by and threw some bills in their hat.
At the bus, Zim dumps all him money into the fare collecter. The bus starts to pull out, but they are stopped by a car accident and heavy traffic. They are just sitting there waiting for the line to move, and Zim finally goes crazy by all the people and gets off. Zim says that he has amazing vision, and decides that if he goes on top of the tallest building, he can see where the house is. The building is a bank, surrounded by police. Zim walks in and sees the stair hall. A woman freaks out, and a S.W.A.T guy looks at a picture of the guy who looked exactly like him (in the park) running with money. The guy screams that he has come back for more, and to get him. Zim uses his spider legs to run to the top quickly and jumps, but grabbing the ledge, making it look like he jumped to his death. Zim tells GIR to use his jets to fly them home, and they start to fly. But a few seconds later, his jets run out and they fall into a garbage dumpster. GIR tells Zim that he emptied his fuel to make room for the tuna, and he pulls out a tube and sucks down tuna. Zim flags down a taxi, and tells him to take him home. The taxi takes him to mexico.
