This episode starts out with the Voot Cruiser flying over a cowfield. It stops over a cow and brings it halfway up the beam, and GIR comes out and puts a sombrero on it and starts dancing. Zim tells GIR to get up there, and the beam lets it back down. Zim tells GIR not to mess with the cow monsters, it's serious. Zim tells GIR that they are going to switch, GIR manning the tracter-beam while Zim pumps the cows with human sewage, and GIR tells Zim that cows are his friends. Zim says that once the cows meat will be pumped with filth, the name "Zim" will be synonmous with dookie. Zim tells GIR to bring him a cow, and GIR says that he likes dookie. Zim said that sometimes he was afraid to know what goes on in his head, and it shows GIR looking at cows, and they turn into weenies, telling him to dance with them into oblivian. GIR picks a cow up with one another tracter-beam, and throws it. Zim asks GIR what he is doing, and he tells the Weenies to hit it, and he starts dancing around with the buttons, throwing a cow into a barn. The lights on the house went on, and Zim tells GIR to stop. GIR brings a cow up and smashes Zim into the hole, making dookie go flying everywhere.
Zim tells GIR that it's time they did something about his behavorial glitches, and he was going to attempt to lock him in duty mode, and GIR giggled and said duty. Zim pressed a button and they were on a street, when a holo-dib showed up and said something totally weird. Zim told GIR to attack him, and he was about to head toward him, when he saw a poop can and started hitting himself in the head with it. Zim told him that there would be no more distractions, and told him to attack the human, and put it to a dangerously high setting. He was about to attack, but GIR went back to normal and started repeating doody. Zim turned it up again, and he started going doody in SIR mode, but he looked at Zim again, and saluted him. GIR told Zim that it was just a hologram, therefore not a threat to his mission. Zim asked what their mission was, and he told him exactly what it was, saying yay at the end. Zim said lets get out of here, and walked off, having GIR's eye twitch.
In the living room, Zim tells GIR that he is the evil henchman he so rightfully deserved, and heard a siren in the background. Zim told him with his new skills to go investigate the siren, and GIR told him that it was just a police siren, but Zim told him to do as he said, and GIR said yes sir. GIR ripped open the door, and within a second, a police car crashed through Zim's house and threw out a police officer tied up in a seat-belt buckle out the windsheild. Zim told him that wasn't information retrieval, and GIR told him that he has captured the enemy for meat testing, and told Zim to praise him. The policeman said that his bones were jammed up into his neck, and Zim told him that he has to wipe his memory away to prevent him from all he has seen.
In his lab, Zim told GIR that the memory tansplant will take hours, and he planned to spend the day experimenting on the happiness centers of the earth-childs brain. The camera panned to a child locked in a capsule with tubes hooked to his head, saying that he was so happy. The man opened his wallet and said that he had a house and children and pets and a toilet and toilet children. Zim told him to make silence, and while Zim was shoving a tude down the mans mouth, GIR told him that the SIR unit code enables free will in the event that the mission was threatened, and the police human was a threat to the mission. Zim went to another capsule and pulled a squide out. He told GIR to moniter earth broadcast while he messes with the human, and all the while GIR was questioning whether Zim was his commander in his head.
Upstairs, GIR was watching TV, getting mad. GIR said that television was stupid and his master wasn't utilizing him properly, and he will show him how information collecting is done. GIR looked out the window to find places, and he saw the library, saying it was an information center. He took some kind of machine and ran out the door.
At the library, a man was checking out books. It asked for a retinal scan and told him that he was rejected. A beam thingy surrounded him and the lady told him that he had two discs overdue and they have to confinscate his retineas. GIR busted in told her that he requires access to all human knowlage, and the secretary told him it would be under referance. He told her that wasn't acceptable and had the thingys on his machine reach for her.
At his lab, Zim was done with the man. He woke up and asked where his tenticals were, and Zim told him that he was in an earth hospital and his feelings were normal, and told him there was a squid brain in his head. The man's walky-talky came on calling him, and he made some kind of noises. He told Zim something was wrong, and asked why he couldn't shoot his ink anymore. The walky-talky came back on and told them that there was a flying metal child draining the braining the brains of citizens at the public library. Zim said that it was GIR and he must stop him before he ruins everything. He walked out, and the squidman followed him, telling him to take him back to the sea.
Zim drove the police care to the library, where the squidman jumped on one of the doors and started sucking at the door. Zim came in with a police hat, telling the humans to relax, the police are there, but he got cut off when he saw what GIR was doing. GIR said that knowlage fills him, and it's neat, and Zim told him that he's drained enough humans today. GIR tells him that his data canister is not yet full, and Zim commanded him to get out before they're noticed somemore. GIR tells him that he's no commander, he's a threat to the mission, and his methods are stupid, his progress is stupid, his intelligence was stupid, and for the sake of his mission, he must be terminated. GIR hit Zim with one of his thingys, and he told Squidman to help him. Squidman jumped and tried to use his ink again, and he told him that his ink was not working, and he didn't wanna know what comes out. GIR fired at Zim, making a hole in the floor, and Zim fell through to the basement. Zim told GIR that they got to get out, and he's malfunctioning. GIR tells him that stupidity is the enemy, and Zim is the enemy. GIR fired at him and Zim ran, and GIR chased him. Squidman told him not to leave him on land, and dived in the hole.
In the basement, Zim is walking when he is frightened by a book falling off of the shelf. He asks if it was GIR, but when he turns around, GIR is standing there. Zim is climbing up the bookshelf, and GIR is saying to eliminate the moron. Zim runs into the viewing room, where there is a dead end caused by vending machines. Zim is saying "curse you snacks" when the lights turn off, and GIR is at the end of the hallway. GIR uses his extandable thingys to trap Zim in on the vending machines. Zim tells GIR that he was his servant once, and asked if he remembered. GIR said yes, and he didn't like it, and was about to fire at him, but Squidman told him to look over where he was standing, and he finally made his ink come out, splattering on GIR's eyes. Zim grabs GIR and opens his head, taking the duty controller out of his head, and GIR goes back to normal, falling to the floor. He tells the floor hi, and to make him a sandwhich, and Zim said that was better.
Zim and GIR take squidman to the beach, and he tells them that he had quite an adventure, the car wreack, the library fight, and the galactic space battle that happened on the way to the beach. Zim told him to go into the ocean where he can tell no one of those things, and he ran into the water, saying he was coming home. The man swims out into the sunset, and GIR said that he was going to get eaten by a shark.
