The episode starts out with Dib running up to a builiding, but an electro-guard tells him that the audiance tryouts are on the other side of the building. He tells the guard that he needs to see professor membrane, but the guard shocks him. He tells him that he's his dad, and he shocks him again. He tells the guard that he need Professor Membrane to sign his permission slip, but the guard wants him to explain it to him. So Dib explains how he was talking to a Swollen Eyeball member, he told Dib that he needed to have a permission form signed by his parents to attend the meeting. So Dib finishes his excuse, and the guard shocks him again. Gaz shows up, and Dib asks what she's doing there. She has a flashback of when she got a box of pizza and took a slice out. Gaz is about to eat it, but Zim comes up and takes the slice of pizza from her before she can put it in her mouth. She makse a big long speech, but her point is that she will get revenge on him. But she doesn't tell the guard of Dib, she just says she would help him out. The guard tells him that the only way he will be able to see Professor Membrane is to make it into the audiance. A big vacumm comes and takes Dib away.
The vacumm takes Dib to a room with everyone taking a test. A robot comes up to Zim telling him that he needs to take a test before getting into the audiance. Gaz is sitting behind Dib as the robot leaves, and tells him that she used the staff enterance. Dib decides to take the test, all the while with Gaz looking over his shoulder. A girl finishes with her exam, and she gets a 94%. The robot tells her that the grade was unacceptable, and throws her into a room that says reject. The robot grades Dib's paper, and he gets a 94.1%. The robot tells him that his score is acceptable, and spit confetti at him. The vacumm takes Dib to another room.
Dib is now heavily dressed in armour, and a voice says that he is in the audiance admitance test round 2. The lights come on and it appears that he is encircled in a cage. Gaz appears behind him, and once again, she enters through the staff enterance. The voice tells Dib to choose a science tool, and dib picks the dobber. The voice says that the battle will begin. Suddenly, a monster thingy starts to chase Dib around. Shunk, the creatures name, says that if they end in a tie, they will both go to the show. Dib refuses and presses his button in the middle, to win.
Shunk says that he felt hurt worse than ever before, and Gaz says to him that Dib said he could slice him, like a pizza, and she also adds that his head is hideously mis-shapen. The voice says that battle two of three has started. The theme is: Test your knowlage of combustion with Pyro Chaos. The floor, except for a few pieces has dropped out of the arena, and fire has replaced it. A hook grabs on to Dib and Shunk also. Dib and Shunk meet in the middle of the floor, and Dib looses his dobber in the fire. They fight for a while, and Shunk grabs Dib's leg and pulls him and lets go of him, making him fly to the ceiling of the cage. Dib grabs onto the cage and won't let go. Shunk tells him to get down, and he rufuses. He starts yelling, and Dib says, "How did you pass the verbal portion of the exam anyway?" Shunk shakes the cage and makes Dib fall to a peice of the floor. Shunk hits Dib's target and wins that round.
Dib tells Gaz that he is willing to trade Shunks offer for a tie, but Gaz tells Shunk that Dib says he wants him to explode and that his head is still big. Shunk says that he is going to eat Dib. The next match is knowlege of insects and cybernetic death machines. They are put into spider costumes now. Dib offers the tie, but Shunk refuses. Shunk says he is about to destroy Dib, and he touches his target. Shunk is the winner.
After Shunk is announced winner, three men come and carry Dib off. He trys to get Gaz to help buy saying he was sorry about the tacos or whatever. Dib gets the idea to take one of the permission slips and forge his signature, making it self-destruct to cause a distraction. He throws the slip into the trash can and it explodes. Dib runs away and the guards chase after him. While he ran away, Gaz saw a box of pizza and took a slice, but when Dib runs past her, the guard bumbs her and knocks her pizza out of her hand, making it fall to the floor where bugs start to eat it.
Dib finally finds his dad's room and barges in on him while he's doing his make-up. He tells him he needed to sign it, but he said that he didn't sign autographs backstage... and calls him a little boy, not knowing that that is his son. The men come and take him away, but Dib leaves the permission slip there. The guards throw him out, and they walk away. They come back with the permission slip, saying that the professer signed it for him.
Dib makes it to the meeting, but he left his briefcase with all his evidence in it back at the studio. The crazed chiwawa carries it away.
