Paradox Addendum Review

On Paradox Addendum, a seven track disc released in winter (November 21), 2000,
We hear the familiar sounds of Cruelty and Heaven's Gaze, but are also
Treated to several new songs and a recitation of Poe's Annabel Lee.
Love/Tragedy begins with crisp electronic sounds. Rogue begins
singing, with haunting lyrics about the need for love, yet confusion
about unfamiliar emotions.
An older song, Cruelty is included on the disc with a video. It has
Rachel and Chris (violin and keyboards) infiltrating a building, intending
to destroy crucial paperwork. Punctuated by Rogue's vocals, filmed
in black and white, the video was a treat.
Eurydice (Don’t Follow) is a story in song, narrated by Orpheus, who must rescue his
love from the shadows of the underworld. Making a deal with Hades,
he is allowed to lead his wife to the surface, but he must trust in her
love for him, as he must not look back...
/i>Ave Maria is transformed by strong beats and enchanting violin into a
song telling of a woman who believes strongly in what others cannot
understand.
The last track, Annabel Lee, as told by Rogue, with added sound
effects.
The Cruxshadows do not disappoint! Clear vocals, dance-able music,
and even a video, this CD is highly recommended.
